Neulontaklinikat Oodissa tiistaisin ja keskiviikkoisin 10.1.2024 alkaen

Tervetuloa neulomaan tai virkkaamaan yhdessä Kädentaitomartat ry:n ohjaajien kanssa! Voit opetella neulomisen alkeita tai taidokkaan neuleen yksityiskohtia. Opit ehkä uusia tapoja tehdä sukan kantapään, lapasen peukalon tai resorin ja voit kysyä neuvoa neuleohjeen pulmiin tai ohjeiden sovittamiseen omille mitoille. Martat opettavat myös parsimista, voit ottaa mukaan reikiintyneet villasukkasi tai muun korjausta kaipaavan villa-asusteen.

Neulontaklinikka kokoontuu kirjaston toisessa kerroksessa Kuutio-tilan edustalla parillisten viikkojen keskiviikkoina klo 14-16, ja parittomien viikkojen tiistaina klo 17.30-19.30.

Neulontaklinikat ovat maksuttomia ja avoimia kaikille neulomisesta kiinnostuneille, tervetuloa mukaan!

Opetteletko juuri lukemaan tai lukeminen on muuten hankalaa? Tule lukemaan lukukoiralle. Lukukoira on kärsivällinen kuuntelija, jonka kanssa lukemista ei tarvitse jännittää. Lukuhetkessä on paikalla lukija, koira ja koiran ohjaaja. Ohjaajan tehtävänä on valvoa lukuhetkeä sivusta, mutta ei puuttua sen kulkuun.

Varaa noin 15 minuutin pituinen lukuhetki soittamalla kirjastoon 09 310 85055 tai sähköpostitse vallilan_kirjasto@hel.fi

Lukukoiratoiminnan tavoitteena on lukuharrastuksen edistäminen ja onnistuneen lukukokemuksen luominen. Koirien on todettu lisäävän ihmisen mielihyvähormonien määrää sekä rentouttavan mieltä, minkä vuoksi niiden vaikutus myös lukemiseen liittyvissä haasteissa on myönteinen. Koiralle lukemisen on todettu auttavan lukihäiriöisiä lapsia ja aikuisia. Koiran läsnäolo vähentää lukemiseen liittyvää kynnystä ja stressiä. Koira ei arvostele, takerru virheisiin tai keskeytä vaan lukijalla on rauha harjoitella lukemista.

Ekohyllyn lukupiirissä luetaan tarinoita luonnosta, muutoksesta ja toivosta.

Lukupiiri kokoontuu keväällä 2024 Viikin kirjaston Elopelto-tilassa kerran kuukaudessa tiistaisin klo 17.30–19.

Mistä on kyse?

Kaavan tavoitteena on mahdollistaa päiväkodin ja uusien asuntojen rakentaminen Sunantien länsipuoliselle metsäiselle mäelle. Alue sijaitsee lähellä Espoon keskuksen palveluita ja liikenneyhteyksiä.

Lapsiperheiden määrän kasvaessa alueella tarvitaan tilaa päiväkodille. Mäellä sijaitseva, kaupungin omistuksessa oleva tontti on ollut pitkään varattuna yleisten palveluiden korttelialueeksi. Tähän mennessä sitä ei kuitenkaan ole otettu käyttöön, vaan alue on palvellut epävirallisessa virkistyskäytössä.

Kaavassa säilytetään yhä alueen läpi kulkevat ulkoilureitit sekä liito-oravayhteys. Virkistysyhteydet ja yhtenäiset virkistysalueet keskuspuiston suuntaan säilyvät. Rakentamisen myötä alueen metsäinen maisema kuitenkin muuttuu.

Vad handlar det om?

Syftet med planen är att göra det möjligt att bygga ett daghem och nya bostäder på en skogsklädd kulle väster om Sunantie. Området ligger nära tjänsterna och transportförbindelserna i Esbo centrum.

I takt med att antalet barnfamiljer i området ökar behövs utrymme för en förskola. Den stadsägda tomten på kullen har länge varit öronmärkt som ett kvartersområde för offentliga tjänster. Hittills har den dock inte använts, utan har använts för informella rekreationsändamål.

Planen bevarar fortfarande de friluftsleder som går genom området, liksom alligatorstigen. Rekreationslänkar och sammanhängande rekreationsområden mot den centrala parken kommer att bevaras. Områdets skogslandskap kommer dock att förändras till följd av exploateringen.

What is it about?

The aim of the plan is to allow the construction of a kindergarten and new housing on a wooded hill to the west of Sunantie. The area is located close to the services and transport connections of Espoo city centre.

As the number of families with children in the area increases, space for a kindergarten is needed. The city-owned plot on the hill has long been earmarked as a block area for public services. To date, however, it has not been used, but has been used for informal recreational purposes.

The plan still preserves the outdoor recreation trails that run through the site, as well as the flying squirrel connection. Recreational links and continuous recreational areas towards the central park will be maintained. However, the forested landscape of the area will change as a result of the development.

Ongelmia tietokoneen tai tabletin kanssa? Nyt on mahdollisuus saada apua tietoteknisiin ongelmiin. Digitalkkari päivystää Lauttasaaren kirjastossa maanantaisin ja tiistaisin klo 12.30–18.

Digitalkkari opastaa tietokoneen, läppärin, tabletin tai älypuhelimen kanssa. Opastukseen voi tuoda oman laitteen mukaan. Digitalkkari on opiskelija, joka suorittaa kirjastossa opintoihinsa liittyvää harjoittelujaksoa.

Teemalukupiiri kokoaa kiinnostavat aiheet ja niistä kiinnostuneet lukijat yhteen Kontulan kirjastossa.

Kirjaston infotiskiltä voit käydä pyytämässä kuukauden teemakirjan lainaan.

Kirjasta ja sen aiheista keskustellaan tapaamiskerroilla. Tapaamiset ovat kerran kuukaudessa ti 13.2., 12.3., 9.4. ja 14.5. Kontulan kirjaston lukusalissa.

Tapaamisiin ei tarvitse ilmoittautua etukäteen, eikä osallistuminen ole sitovaa. Voit siis osallistua halutessasi joka kerran tai vaikkapa vain kerran.
