Tervetuloa ihmettelemään syksyisen metsän salaperäisiä ääniä yhdessä ketun kanssa. Mikä ropisee, rapisee ja suhisee metsässä? Kettu kutsuu vauvat ja taaperot leikkimään, laulamaan, liikkumaan ja soittamaan yhdessä. Kaikki osallistuvat omalla tyylillään ja kaikki tunteet ovat sallittuja. Satu- ja lukuhetket voi aloittaa jo vauva-aikana, koska ne tukevat lapsen kielenkehitystä. Tärkeintä on silti viettää yhteinen kirjastoretki ja musiikillinen satutuokio.

Kukkuu-viikon ajan kaikissa Vantaan kirjastoissa ja kirjastoautoissa on lasten alueella piilossa neljä paperista kettua. Tule yhdessä lapsen kanssa etsimään piilosilla olevat ketut. Vaikka ette löydä kaikkia kettuja, pyydä kirjastolaiselta pieni lahja. Lahjoja on rajoitettu määrä.

Tule soittelemaan ja laulamaan helppoja ja tuttuja lauluja Tikkurilan kirjaston musiikkiosaston soittohuoneeseen torstai-iltaisin.

Soitetaan ensin alkuperäisartistien tulkintojen mukana, minkä jälkeen porukka itse päättää mihin suuntaan edetään ja millaisia lauluja soitetaan. Apuvälineinä ovat soittohuoneen äänen- ja kuvantoistolaitteet. Sointumerkinnät ja rajallinen määrä nuotteja ovat käytettävissä. Kaikenlaiset soittimet ovat tervetulleita.

Laulunkirjoittajien illan aikana Pop & Jazz Konservatorion laulunkirjoittamista opiskelevat oppilaat kertovat biisinteosta, säveltämisestä ja lyriikoiden kirjoittamisesta sekä esittävät omaa tuotantoaan akustisesti

Saga Mast on cowboy-bootsit jalassa Helsingin kaduilla seikkaileva suomirockin uusi ääni, joka julkaisi esikoisalbuminsa ”Rakastan draamaa” toukokuussa 2023.

Mast on sielultaan analoginen rock-mimmi, joka on ristiriitainen, avoin, inhimillisen sotkuinen ja aseistariisuvan rehellinen nainen. Keikoilla hän tuo musiikkinsa esiin väkevästi omaperäisillä sovituksillaan, joissa on sekä haavoittuvuutta että mahtipontista draamaa.

Lilja Lundén on vähän petty, tosi pop. Laulaja-laulunkirjoittaja kirjottaa autofiktiivistä poppia, josta välittyy artistin leikittelevyys ja draamannälkä. Kirjoittajana hänen vahvuuksiaan ovat tarttuvat hookit ja oivaltavat lyriikat: Lilja Lundénin kynästä syntyy tulevia listahittejä.

Duo on kiva olla joku has been collaborating since 2021 and has released two albums Harvennettu vuoroväli (2021) and Henkilökohtainen eheytymisleiri (2023). Finnish language is an important tool at least for the lyrical part of the duo.

The group uses the creative process as a tool for marrying old and modern technique and the band’s music lays bare this internal process.
Ritual takes a primary role in soundmaking as well as performance, and the musicians aimed for sonic depictions of ritual which are so alive that the listener can virtually visualise them.

Ajattelun kehittämisen labrat syksyn 2023 ajan Itäkeskuksen kirjastossa!
Kerran kuussa torstaisin 31.8., 28.9., 26.10. ja 30.11. klo 17.30-19.30.

Meillä on monta elämää uhkaavaa kriisiä hyppysissä sekä kohtaamattomuuden epidemia. Samaan aikaan olemme jakaantuneet omiin leireihimme ja eri lailla ajattelevan kuunteleminen on vaikeaa.

Jotta voimme olla luomassa ehjempää huomista, meillä pitää olla paremmat sisäiset voimavarat kannatella ongelmavyyhdin kompleksisuutta sekä rohkeutta löytää yhteinen ihmisyytemme yli jakolinjojen voidaksemme työskennellä yhdessä.

Tutkimme, miten olla ihminen harmoniassa muiden kanssa, mikä on merkityksellistä elämää ja miten kehittää ajattelua ja luovuutta, jotta voimme olla muutoksen tekijöitä huomisen maailmassa.

Labs for sense-making in the Autumn 2023 at Itäkeskus Library, Kanerva-hall.
Once a month on Thursdays, on August 31th, September 28th, October 26th and November 30th, at 17.30-19.30.

We have several life-threatening crises at hand and an epidemic of disconnection. At the same time, we are divided into our own tribes, and listening to people we disagree with is getting challenging.

In order to create a less broken tomorrow, we need better inner resources to navigate the complexity and the courage to find our shared humanity beyond divisions, so that we can work together.

We explore how to be in harmony with others, what constitutes a meaningful life, and how to develop thinking and creativity to become agents of change.

Filosofisessa illassa pohdimme yhtä hyvettä kerrallaan ja sen merkitystä arkipäivässä. Seuraamme filosofi André Comte-Sponvillen teosta Pieni kirja suurista hyveistä, jonka kautta filosofian praktikko Sonja Salavaranta-Rautkari alustaa kunkin illan teeman. Osallistuminen ei edellytä kirjan lukemista etukäteen tai filosofian tuntemista. Uteliaisuus ja kiinnostus ryhmäkeskusteluun hyvässä hengessä riittää.
