Neulontaklinikat Oodissa tiistaisin ja keskiviikkoisin 10.1.2024 alkaen

Tervetuloa neulomaan tai virkkaamaan yhdessä Kädentaitomartat ry:n ohjaajien kanssa! Voit opetella neulomisen alkeita tai taidokkaan neuleen yksityiskohtia. Opit ehkä uusia tapoja tehdä sukan kantapään, lapasen peukalon tai resorin ja voit kysyä neuvoa neuleohjeen pulmiin tai ohjeiden sovittamiseen omille mitoille. Martat opettavat myös parsimista, voit ottaa mukaan reikiintyneet villasukkasi tai muun korjausta kaipaavan villa-asusteen.

Neulontaklinikka kokoontuu kirjaston toisessa kerroksessa Kuutio-tilan edustalla parillisten viikkojen keskiviikkoina klo 14-16, ja parittomien viikkojen tiistaina klo 17.30-19.30.

Neulontaklinikat ovat maksuttomia ja avoimia kaikille neulomisesta kiinnostuneille, tervetuloa mukaan!

Opetteletko juuri lukemaan tai lukeminen on muuten hankalaa? Tule lukemaan lukukoiralle. Lukukoira on kärsivällinen kuuntelija, jonka kanssa lukemista ei tarvitse jännittää. Lukuhetkessä on paikalla lukija, koira ja koiran ohjaaja. Ohjaajan tehtävänä on valvoa lukuhetkeä sivusta, mutta ei puuttua sen kulkuun.

Lukukoiratoiminnan tavoitteena on lukuharrastuksen edistäminen ja onnistuneen lukukokemuksen luominen. Koirien on todettu lisäävän ihmisen mielihyvähormonien määrää sekä rentouttavan mieltä, minkä vuoksi niiden vaikutus myös lukemiseen liittyvissä haasteissa on myönteinen. Koiralle lukemisen on todettu auttavan lukihäiriöisiä lapsia ja aikuisia. Koiran läsnäolo vähentää lukemiseen liittyvää kynnystä ja stressiä. Koira ei arvostele, takerru virheisiin tai keskeytä vaan lukijalla on rauha harjoitella lukemista.

Eila Kautto on perehtynyt Espanjan kieleen ja kulttuuriin. Hän on julkaissut espanjan kielen oppikirjoja, tarinankerronnallisen tietokirjan Cid : sankari 1000-luvun Espanjasta sekä historiallisen seikkailutarinan Victor : suomalainen muskettisoturi.

Suosittu retkikirjailija Harri Ahonen luennoi Helsingin Latu ja Polku ry:n järjestämässä tilaisuudessa Lapin retkeilyreiteistä. Tilaisuuden aiheessa syvennytään tarkemmin Lapin päiväretkikohteisiin. Luennolla on mukana maakunnan kauneimmat päiväretkikohteet, ja esittelyssä koko joukko tunnettuja ja vähemmän tunnettuja kohteita, eräänlaisia tuokiokuvia erämaiden rajamailta, kansallispuistojen ja luonnonpuistojen rakkarinteiltä, Merilapin ja Inarijärven rantaviivojen tuntumasta sekä Lapin pauhuvien koskien penkereiltä. Luennolla Harri Ahonen esittelee päiväretkikohteista kiinnostavimmat, alueellista ulottuvuutta unohtamatta.

Kuten kirjassa, niin myös luennolla esitellään retkikohteita, jotka sijaitsevat kaikkein tunnetuimpien paikkojen ulkopuolella. Retkikohteiden esittelyn lomassa Harri Ahonen kertoo samalla omakohtaisia kokemuksia, joihin hän on kirjaa tehdessä, ja muutaman kerran sananmukaisesti törmännyt.

Meditaatiokurssi järjestetään tiistaisin 6.2.-27.2.2024 klo 17.30-18.30 Lumon kirjaston lukusalissa. Ohjaajana toimii Tarakini Rainaho. Kurssi on maksuton.

Ilmoittaudu mukaan kurssille alla olevasta linkistä 5.2.2023 mennessä. Yhdellä ilmoittautumisella ilmoittaudut mukaan kaikille neljälle tapaamiskerralle. Kurssin maksimiosallistujamäärä 10 henkilöä.

Voit ottaa halutessasi oma jumppa- tai joogamaton mukaan. Meditoida voi myös tuolilla istuen.

Tervetuloa pohjoismaiseen kirjallisuuspiiriin, jonka toteuttavat Pohjoismaisen kulttuuripisteen kirjasto ja Helsingin Keskustakirjasto Oodi. Kevätkaudella tapaamme kerran kuussa Keskustakirjasto Oodissa tai Pohjoismaisen kulttuuripisteen kirjastossa. Luemme pohjoismaista kaunokirjallisuutta ja keskustelemme teoksista yhdessä, mutta osallistuminen on mahdollista myös ilman kirjan lukemista. Seuraavan kerran kirja valitaan kussakin tapaamisessa. Tapahtumiin ei tarvitse ilmoittautua ennakkoon. Keskustelun kielenä on ruotsi.

Welcome to the Nordic literature circle, a collaboration between the Nordic Culture Point library and the Helsinki Central Library Oodi!

We meet once a month at Helsinki Central Library Oodi or at the Nordic Culture Point library. We read Nordic fiction and discuss the work together. You do not need to have read the book to participate. When we meet, we'll choose a book for the next meeting. No prior registration is required. We speak Swedish/Scandinavian.

Programmering och Spelplanering - Kodare (årskurs 3.-6.) 

Tid: Tisdagar kl. 15:30 – 17:00 (från 14.11.)

Hobbygruppen Coders lär ut grundläggande programmeringslogik med hjälp av kodblock. I takt med att kunskaperna utvecklas och gruppen går framåt kodar vi våra egna spel och enkla program, och går vidare till att använda riktiga programmeringsspråk.
