Kaupunkitanssikesä tuo ilmaiset tanssituokiot ilahduttamaan ja virkistämään pääkaupunkiseudun asukkaiden elämää.

The map includes a QR code that can be scanned with a smartphone, which will open a link where the audiopiece can be either streamed or downloaded. The listener can then hear the track through headphones and follow the directions of the audio and the map.

Tervetuloa neulomaan tai virkkaamaan yhdessä Kädentaitomartat ry:n ohjaajien kanssa! Voit opetella neulomisen alkeita tai taidokkaan neuleen yksityiskohtia. Opit ehkä uusia tapoja tehdä sukan kantapään, lapasen peukalon tai resorin ja voit kysyä neuvoa neuleohjeen pulmiin tai ohjeiden sovittamiseen omille mitoille. Martat opettavat myös parsimista, voit ottaa mukaan reikiintyneet villasukkasi tai muun korjausta kaipaavan villa-asusteen.
Neulontaklinikka kokoontuu kirjaston toisessa kerroksessa Kuutio-tilan edustalla parillisten viikkojen keskiviikkoina klo 14-16, ja parittomien viikkojen tiistaina klo 17.30-19.30.
Neulontaklinikat ovat maksuttomia ja avoimia kaikille neulomisesta kiinnostuneille, tervetuloa mukaan!

Luetaan yhdessä -verkosto tarjoaa maksutonta suomen kielen opetusta maahanmuuttajille. Ryhmä kokoontuu taas paikan päällä Oodissa tiistaisin klo 17.30-19.30.
Kaikki opettajat ovat vapaaehtoisia ja ryhmä pyrkii tukemaan eritasoisten oppijien kielen kehittymistä monipuolisesti. Olemme osa valtakunnallista verkostoa, joka tukee erityisesti maahanmuuttajanaisten kielen oppimista ja kotoutumista. Myös miehet ovat tervetulleita Oodin ryhmään.

Finnish native speakers help you practice communicating in Finnish. We read texts and discuss different topics every time. It's not necessary to register in advance, you can just show up. Cafes are held on Tuesdays 29.8. - 12.12. at 18:00 - 19:30 in Blue Room, but 17.10. is canceled. We' ll continue 9.1.2024.

Tikkurilan kirjastosta löytyy kolme ukulelea, ja voit halutessasi ottaa myös oman soittimen mukaan. Pajoja ohjaa Ester Koponen. Opastus onnistuu suomen lisäksi myös englanniksi, ruotsiksi ja ranskaksi.
Kaikki mukaan – ukulele on helppo ja hauska soitin!

Puistolan kirjastossa päivystää lukukoira Pulla. Varaa aika kirjastosta soittamalla 09 3108 5076 tai palvelutiskiltä paikan päältä.
Lapsi tarvitsee vanhemmalta kirjallisen luvan osallistuakseen, lupalapun saa kirjaston tiskiltä.

Lukukoira on paikalla tiistaisin ti 29.8., 12.9., 26.9., 10.10., 24.10., 7.11., 21.11. ja 19.12., klo. 17.30 – 19.00
Yksi lukuhetki kestää noin 15 min. Lukuhetkeen osallistuvat lukija, koira ja koiran ohjaaja. Ohjaajan tehtävä on valvoa lukuhetkeä sivusta, mutta ei puuttua sen kulkuun.

Kennelliiton lukukoirat
Lukukoiratoiminnan tavoitteena on lukuharrastuksen edistäminen ja onnistuneen lukukokemuksen luominen. Koirien on todettu lisäävän ihmisen mielihyvähormonien määrää sekä rentouttavan mieltä, minkä vuoksi niiden vaikutus myös lukemiseen liittyvissä haasteissa on myönteinen. Koiralle lukemisen on todettu auttavan lukihäiriöisiä lapsia sekä aikuisia. Koiran läsnäolo vähentää lukemiseen liittyvää kynnystä ja stressiä. Koira ei arvostele, takerru virheisiin tai keskeytä vaan lukijalla on rauha harjoitella lukemista.
