Tuomo Prättälä on muusikko, joka liikkuu ennakkoluulottomasti roolia vaihdellen rytmimusiikin eri tyyleissä.

Tuomo-nimellä julkaistussa soolotuotannossaan hän seikkailee lauletun soulin maailmassa, Markus Nordenstrengin kanssa perustetussa Tuomo & Markus -duossa hän kirjoittaa folk- ja singer/songwriter-perinteestä ammentavaa rock-musiikkia ja jazzpianistina hän on tehnyt vaikutuksen mm. Maanantai-illan suosikkiklubin sykkivää ydintä ovat jazz, blues, country, folk, rhythm and blues, bluegrass ja americana-roots-musiikki. Juurilla-klubia isännöivät tuttuun tapaan Juki Välipakka ja The Rooty Toot Toot Band.

Tuomo Prättälä is a musician who moves between different styles of rhythm music, changing his role with an open mind. Tervetuloa tutustumaan länsiafrikkalaisiin tansseihin ja treenaamaan liverytmien tahdissa elokuun viimeisinä arkipäivinä Kannelmäen Sitratorille!

Länsiafrikkalainen tanssi on iloista, energistä ja vauhdikasta. Se kohottaa kuntoa kuin huomaamatta sekä kehittää rytmitajua, keskittymistä ja koordinaatiokykyä. Liikekieli on kokonaisvaltaista ja liikeradat laajoja. Vuorovaikutus elävän musiikin kanssa antaa energiaa ja tuo tanssimiseen tunnelmaa!

Tunnit sisältävät alkulämmittelyn sekä tutustumista länsiafrikkalaiseen rytmiikkaan ja liikekieleen. Opit myös pienen koreografian. Lopuksi tehdään palauttava ja rentouttava loppuvenyttely.

Tunnit sopivat kaikille: voit tulla joko tutustumaan lajiin, tai konkarina ottamaan rennon varaslähdön alkavaan tanssisyksyyn!

Come and explore West African dances and get some exercise to the beat of live rhythms on the last weekdays of August at Sitratori square in Kannelmäki!

West African dance is cheerful, energetic and fast-paced. The classes include a warm-up session and introduction to West African rhythm and movement. You also learn a short choreography. The class ends with relaxing and restorative stretches.

The classes are suitable for everyone: you can come as a beginner to explore a new dance, or with previous experience to get a laid-back early start to the autumn of dance!

Free admission; in case of rain we dance under the canopy. Bring a casual dance outfit, a gym towel and a bottle of water.

Kuusi eri kirjastoa ottavat mittaa toisistaan tässä kisassa, jossa selviää alueen paras FIFA-pelaaja!


Kunkin kirjaston karsintapelien voittaja etenee finaaliin, joka järjestetään Malmin kirjastossa.
Finaalin parhaimmistolle on luvassa palkintoja.

Ilmoittautuminen alkaa 18.9. osoitteessa bit.ly/kirjastonfifa. Voit halutessasi ilmoittautua mukaan myös turnaukseen osallistuvassa kirjastossa.
Kuhunkin karsintaan mahtuu mukaan noin 8 pelaajaa. Pelinä toimii FIFA23 (Playstation 4, Viikin kirjastossa Playstation 5).

Neulontaklinikat Oodissa tiistaisin ja keskiviikkoisin 6.9. alkaen

Tervetuloa neulomaan tai virkkaamaan yhdessä Kädentaitomartat ry:n ohjaajien kanssa! Voit opetella neulomisen alkeita tai taidokkaan neuleen yksityiskohtia. Opit ehkä uusia tapoja tehdä sukan kantapään, lapasen peukalon tai resorin ja voit kysyä neuvoa neuleohjeen pulmiin tai ohjeiden sovittamiseen omille mitoille. Martat opettavat myös parsimista, voit ottaa mukaan reikiintyneet villasukkasi tai muun korjausta kaipaavan villa-asusteen.

Neulontaklinikka kokoontuu kirjaston toisessa kerroksessa Kuutio-tilan edustalla parillisten viikkojen keskiviikkoina klo 14-16, ja parittomien viikkojen tiistaina klo 17.30-19.30.

Luetaan yhdessä - ryhmä

Luetaan yhdessä -verkosto tarjoaa maksutonta suomen kielen opetusta maahanmuuttajille. Ryhmä kokoontuu taas paikan päällä Oodissa tiistaisin klo 17.30-19.30.

Kaikki opettajat ovat vapaaehtoisia ja ryhmä pyrkii tukemaan eritasoisten oppijien kielen kehittymistä monipuolisesti. Olemme osa valtakunnallista verkostoa, joka tukee erityisesti maahanmuuttajanaisten kielen oppimista ja kotoutumista. Myös miehet ovat tervetulleita Oodin ryhmään.

Finnish native speakers help you practice communicating in Finnish. We read texts and discuss different topics every time. It's not necessary to register in advance, you can just show up.
