Liikuntaluotsin vetämät kävelyt järjestetään syyskuussa torstaisin klo 10-11.
to 7.9., 14.9., 21.9. ja 28.9.

Kokoonnumme kirjastolla, josta on yhdessä lähtö kävelykierrokselle klo 10.
Kierros kulkee Myllypuron alueella ja päätyy takaisin kirjastolle. Kirjastolla on tarjolla kahvia ja teetä kävelijöille klo 11 alkaen.

Laita jalkaan mukavat kävelykengät, pukeudu säänmukaisesti ja tule mukaan.
Vetäjänä toimii Helsingin kaupungin kouluttama vertaisohjaaja, liikuntaluotsi Anna-Maria.

Tilaisuus on maksuton. Ei ennakkoilmoittautumista.

BOOKPERFORMANCE is a literary and artistic concept as well as a world-view.

Here are the papers of a book, metaphorically leaves of a tree and individuals of a society. They got collectively painted during the BOOKPERFORMANCE event that took place on the 27th May 2023, at OODI.

Thanks to the energy and the synergy that was created all together within a linguistic and cultural diversity in the happening, a down-to-earth contribution about books and trees thus knowledge and nature was planted into the collective consciousness. The co-created paintings are sold and with the revenue trees are planted for the life on Earth.

You are welcome to see the documentation of this event which is showcased as a digital exhibition at OODI, at any time during 2 weeks, between 21st August and 3rd September.

Vuodesta 2016 Saudi-Arabia on seurannut Visio 2030 -nimistä uudistusohjelmaa, jonka tavoitteena on maan öljyteollisuudesta riippuvaisen talouden monipuolistaminen. Osana ohjelmaa maahan pyritään houkuttelemaan turisteja, naisia kannustetaan töihin ja aavikolle rakentuu futuristinen teknokaupunki Neom. Mitä kunnianhimoiset tavoitteet tarkoittavat käytännössä? Entä mitä kaikkea maan nykypolitiikan takana on?

Tilaisuudessa kuullaan SLIY:n gradustipendin vuonna 2022 saaneen Lili De Paolan esitelmä, jossa hän kertoo maisterintutkielmastaan Constructing Saudi Arabian Nationhood: Shaping Subjectivities Through Suitable Pasts, Imagined Futures and National Femininities (2023).

Esitelmää kommentoivat Helsingin yliopiston Lähi-idän tutkimuksen professori Hannu Juusola, Suomen Lähi-idän instituutin säätiön tutkija Antti Tarvainen sekä Ulkopoliittisen instituutin tutkimusavustaja Mohammed Hadi, minkä jälkeen tilaisuus jatkuu paneelikeskustelulla.

Työpajan tarkoitus on pitää hauskaa, mutta tuottaa samalla näkökulmia hiilinegatiivisen kaupungin konkretisoimiseen.

Peli sopii kaikille aikuisille, eikä vaadi ennakkotietoja tai kokemusta roolipelaamisesta. Peliin ei voi liittyä kesken tapahtumaa.

Vaikka työpajassa matkataan mielikuvitukseen, sen taustalla on myös oikea tarve. Helsinki haluaa olla hiilinegatiivinen vuoden 2040 jälkeen ja tavoitteena on löytää mielikuvia hyvästä elämästä mahdollisimman erilaisissa tulevaisuuksissa.

Miten liikutaan, asutaan tai maksimoidaan elämänlaatu muuttuneella planeetalla minimoiden samalla materiaalien ja hiilibudjetin käyttö? Millaista on mielekäs elämä maailmassa, joka ei perustu materiaalien kertakäyttöön?

Tervetuloa pohtimaan muun muassa näitä teemoja tulevaisuuden kaupunkiin!

Jani Saxell kertoo ja keskustelee romaaneistaan Helsinki Underground (WSOY 2023) ja Uuden ihmisen kaupunki (WSOY 2020) sekä muusta tuotannostaan.

Tilaisuus juhlistaa samalla Jani Saxellin 20-vuotista työtä haastattelijana Vuosaaren kirjastossa. Saxell sai 13.5.2023 Kirjailijaliiton tunnustuspalkinnon työstään kirjailijana, toimittajana, kirjailijoiden haastattelijana, luennoijana ja sanataideopettajana. Tapahtuma järjestetään yhteistyössä Helsingin työväenopiston kanssa.

Jani Saxellia haastattelee erikoiskirjastovirkailija Matti Järvinen.

Tilaisuus myös striimataan tapahtuman Facebook-sivulla ja tallenne jää katsottavaksi kahden viikon ajaksi Vuosaaren kirjaston Facebook-sivulle.

BOOKPERFORMANCE is a literary and artistic concept as well as a world-view.

Here are the papers of a book, metaphorically leaves of a tree and individuals of a society. They got collectively painted during the BOOKPERFORMANCE event that took place on the 27th May 2023, at OODI.

Thanks to the energy and the synergy that was created all together within a linguistic and cultural diversity in the happening, a down-to-earth contribution about books and trees thus knowledge and nature was planted into the collective consciousness. The co-created paintings are sold and with the revenue trees are planted for the life on Earth.

You are welcome to see the documentation of this event which is showcased as a digital exhibition at OODI, at any time during 2 weeks, between 21st August and 3rd September.

Tapahtuma on osa Vanhusten Turva sr:n ja Vuosaaren kirjaston ikäihmisten aktivointiin suunniteltua sarjaa, joka toteutetaan neljänä peräkkäisenä tiistai-iltapäivänä syys-lokakuussa 2023. Sarjan tapahtumat ovat:

Ti 12.9. klo 13-14 Antti Koli opastaa kaupunkiluonnon ja monimuotoisuuden saloihin sanoin ja kuvin.

Ti 19.9. klo 13-14 Lähiluontokävely ja käytännön tutustuminen monimuotoisuutta edistäviin tekoihin Antti Kolin johdolla.

Ti 26.9. klo 13-14 Paikalliset toimijat esittelevät senioreille suunnattua toimintaansa. Mukana mm. Vuosaaren kirjasto, Vanhusten Turva sr ja Omakotisäätiö.

Ti 3.10. klo 13-14 Vuosaari eilen, tänään ja huomenna: Arkkitehti Petri Leppälä esittelee Vuosaaren historiaa ja tulevaisuutta kaupunkiympäristön/kaavoituksen näkökulmasta. Sen lisäksi esitellään vanhoja ja uudempia kuvia alueesta.

Tervetuloa Hiiliviisas kaupunkivihreä -festivaaleille Keskustakirjasto Oodiin Suomen luonnon päivänä 26.8.2023!
Festivaali on suunnattu kaikille kaupunkilaisille ja ohjelma on Maijansalissa, pop-up alueella ja Oodin lipan alla.

Ohjelmassa on monipuolisesti tekemistä ja tietoa kaupunkien viherympäristöistä ja niiden tärkeästä roolista ilmastonmuutoksen hillinnässä ja siihen sopeutumisessa.
Tule tutustumaan hiiliviisauteen ja viherympäristöjen hiilinieluihin!
Päivän ohjelmassa on mm. paneelikeskusteluja, puutarhavalmennuksia, työpajoja lapsille ja opastettuja kierroksia Töölönlahdella.
