Tutustumalla erilaisiin näkökulmiin ja näkökulmien vaihdoksiin, voimme saada paljon apua omassa arkielämässämme.

Teemme myös rentoutus- ja mielikuvaharjoituksia, joiden avulla saamme kokemuksen siitä miten voi itse harjoitella ohjaamaan omaa elämäänsä paremmin haluamaansa suuntaan.

Maan parhaista ja kysytyimmistä muusikoista koostuva Espoo Big Band esiintyy Merry,Merry Chiristmas -kiertueella solisteinaan yleisön rakastamat laulajat Marika Tuhkala ja Sami Pitkämö. Kapellimestarina toimii Marzi Nyman, joka on sovittanut illan aikana kuultavat kappaleet Espoo Big Bandille ja solisteille sopivaan svengaavaan muotoon.

Osa konsertin kappaleista löytyy EBB:n vuonna 2021 julkaisemalta joululevyltä, jossa yhtyeen solisteina esiintyivät Aili Ikonen, Sami Pitkämö, Maria Ylipää sekä Maarit Hurmerinta. Lisäksi levyllä vierailivat yhdysvaltalaiset laulajat Kurt Elling, Ruthie Foster sekä saksofonisti Lenny Pickett.

Sami Pitkämö
Sami Pitkämö on tullut suomalaisille tutuksi laulajana, muusikkona ja orkesterinjohtajana keikkojen lisäksi monista tv:n viihdeohjelmista kuten Tanssii Tähtien Kanssa. Hän on esiintynyt ja levyttänyt useiden eri artistien kanssa, kuten Hemma Beast, Jean S., Sami Saari ja Boston Promenade. Vuonna 2008 julkaistu ensimmäinen soololevy ”Lauluja Rakkaudesta Ja Vähän Muustakin” ansaitsi Emma -ehdokkuuden ja samana vuonna Pitkämö sai Pori Jazzin Vuoden taiteilija -tunnustuksen. Jazzrytmit –lehden kriitikot ovat valinneet Samin vuoden mieslaulajaksi kolme kertaa.

Marika Tuhkala
Monipuolinen freelancemuusikko on esiintynyt lukuisten kotimaan eturivin artistien taustalaulajana sekä televisioproduktioissa kuten The Voice of Finland ja Eurovision -laulukilpailut. Vuonna 2013 hänet nähtiin Linnan juhlien solistina. Tuhkala on tuttu myös musiikkiteatterilavoilta muun muassa Komediateatteri Areenasta, UIT:sta sekä Helsingin ja Turun kaupunginteattereista.

Espoo Big Band
Espoo Big Band (EBB) on yksi Suomen suurten jazzorkestereiden valioista. EBB on tehnyt kunnianhimoista ja pitkäjänteistä työtä suomalaisen jazzmusiikin hyväksi jo yli 40 vuoden ajan. EBB tunnetaankin erityisesti uuden kotimaisen musiikin tuotannoistaan. Orkesterin riveissä on kasvanut lukuisia kotimaisia huippumuusikoita kuten Iiro Rantala, Lenni-Kalle Taipale, Jukka Eskola, Jarmo Saari sekä nykyisin orkesteria johtava Marzi Nyman.

Konsertin kesto on noin 2 tuntia sisältäen väliajan.

Kallion kirjasto järjestää värikkään taideiltapäivän osana Kallio Kipinöi -festivaalia ja TransHelsinki-viikkoa – drag-taiteilijat Boy Clit ja Varanka esittelevät taidettaan niin haastattelussa kuin esitystenkin muodossa. Minkälaista on tehdä dragia transihmisenä ja minkälaisia tarinoita drag-taiteella voi kertoa?

Esillä lainattavissa myös drag- ja transaiheisia kirjoja!

Taiteilijavierailu tapahtuu lauantaina 25.11. klo 14–15 Kallion kirjaston ensimmäisen kerroksen Kupolisalissa. Tapahtuma on ikärajaton ja maksuton. Haastattelun kieli on suomi.

Esteettömyystiedot

Ulko-ovi

Kallion kirjaston esteetön sisäänkäynti sijaitsee Porthaninkadun puolella. Ovelle johtaa kivinen luiska, jonka molemmin puolin on kaiteet. Luiska on kapeimmillaan 99 cm leveä. Ulko-ovi aukeaa automaattisesti lähestyttäessä. Oviaukon leveys on 87 cm. Oven kynnyksen korkeus on 1 cm.

Wc-tilat

Kirjaston 1. kerroksen Kupolisalissa on kaksi sukupuolittamatonta asiakas-wc:tä. Wc-tilojen oviaukot ovat 82 cm leveät.

Hissi (ei tarvita tapahtumaan tultaessa)

Hissin oviaukon leveys on 88 cm. Hissikorin leveys on 102 cm ja syvyys 138 cm. Hissin ovi on raskas ja avataan kahvasta vetämällä. Hississä on ovet kummassakin päässä – kun kulkee ensimmäisestä kerroksesta toiseen tai kolmanteen kerrokseen, ei tarvitse peruuttaa ulos.
