Tervetuloa lukemaan ja keskustelemaan tietokirjoista! Tietokirjalukupiiri kokoontuu kerran kuussa torstaisin Itäkeskuksen kirjaston kokoushuone Kanervassa (pohjakerros).

Keväällä 2024 luetaan teoksia, jotka liikkuvat kaunokirjallisuuden, tietokirjallisuuden ja esseiden välimaastossa.

Lukupiiriläiset varaavat kirjan itse, eikä ilmoittautumista vaadita.

Pasila Library's language café e-Ekstra is a discussion group in Finnish that meets every Thursday (11.1. - 13.6.2024) at 17-19 on Skype.

1) Get the Skype application

The most convenient way to join the meeting is to use the Skype application. Use your browser and enter the URL above to join.

- You can then create your own Skype ID, if you do not already have it.

2) Participate without installed Skype application.

You can also join the meeting without the Skype application installed by using the URL above. Say your name when asked. (Unfortunately this does not work with all browsers - in that case use the Skype application)

Language Café in Kallio Library

We have a Finnish discussion group in Kallio Library. The meetings are every Thursday at 5 pm.
Come and have a cup of coffee or tea and chat a little in Finnish.

It’s OK if you know only little Finnish. Our goal is to have a nice time and maybe even learn a bit on the way.

Ukulele beginner class on Thursdays 5-6 pm in Iso Omena Libary

New Ukulele class for beginners starts in Iso Omena Library. Class is for adults and youth 12 years or older. No previous musical experience required. Relaxing atmosphere and communality are important values of the group. The library has ukuleles which you can borrow for the lesson. Participation is free of charge and no pre-registration is needed.

Class is organized from 25th of Jan to 16th of May.
No class on 22nd of Feb, 28th of March, and 9th of May.

Käytössä on PlayStation 5 ja valikoima konsolipelejä. Pelituokioon tarvitsee oman, voimassa olevan kirjastokortin, jota vastaan ohjain lainataan. Pelaamaan pääsee enintään 4 pelaajaa samaan aikaan, peliaikaa on 30 minuuttia. Pelattavat pelit ovat ikärajoiltaan PEGI 3 ja PEGI 7. Vuoroa odotellessasi voit pelata vaikka lauta -tai korttipelejä.

Ison Omenan kirjastossa torstaisin klo 17.00-18.00

Paljon toivotut ukulelen alkeet alkavat Ison Omenan kirjastossa! Kurssi on suunnattu aikuisille ja nuorille 12 vuodesta ylöspäin. Tunneilla käymme läpi soittamisen perusteet. Tähän kuuluu soittoasento, soinnut ja komppaaminen. Tunneilla soitamme suomen- ja englanninkielisiä lauluja. Ryhmässä rentous, välitön tunnelma ja yhteisöllisyys ovat tärkeitä asioita. Aikaisempaa musiikillista osaamista tai taustaa ei vaadita. Kirjastolla on lainasoittimia tunnin ajaksi. Tule mukaan!

Ryhmä kokoontuu torstaisin 25.1-16.5. HUOM! Ei tuntia 22.2. (hiihtoloma) 28.3. (Kiirastorstai) ja 9.5. (Helatorstai)
