The Language Café is an open meeting place for anyone interested in different cultures and the Finnish language.

Your language skills need not be fluent, but we hope that you speak some Finnish. There will be coffee and tea in a safe and friendly environment.

The event is organized on Tuesdays at 2pm from 16th of Jan until 14th of May.

Seikkailijat harrastusryhmässä hyppäämme Minecraftin villiin ja arvaamattomaan erämaailmaan tukenamme vain ja ainoastaan toisemme sekä otamme vastaan kaikki pelin tuovat haasteet yhdessä! Pelistä ei tarvitse olla aiempaa kokemusta, sillä paikalla on aina kaksi peliohjaajaa, jotka ovat aina valmiita auttamaan.

Tervetuloa puhumaan venäjää rennossa seurassa!

Taitotasollasi ei ole väliä. Mukaan ovat tervetulleita kaikki keskustelijat vasta-alkajista natiivipuhujiin.

Kirjaston työntekijä ohjaa keskustelua, mutta keskustelu on vapaamuotoista.

Venäjänkielinen keskusteluryhmä kokoontuu tiistaisin kaksi kertaa kuukaudessa kirjaston 2. kerroksessa kello 13–14.

Tervetuloa mukaan senioreille suunnattuun yhteistöteatteritoimintaan!

TaideLiikutus-teatteriryhmä kokoontuu Myllypuron kirjaston Virta-tilassa tiistaisin klo 12-13.30 ajalla 9.1.- 21.5.24.
Poikkeuksena ti 23.1. (ja mahdollisesti ti 6.2.), jolloin ryhmä kokoontuu muualla kuin Myllypuron kirjastossa.

Yhteisöteatteriryhmässä käsitellään osallistujien kiinnostuksen kohteita erilaisten teatteri-, liike- ja musiikkiharjoitteiden kautta. Tavoitteena on toimia mukavassa ja rennossa ryhmässä, saada kokemusta teatterista ja esiintymisestä, mahdollistaa ystävyyssuhteiden kehitystä ryhmien sisällä sekä luoda vuorovaikutusta myös ryhmien välillä. Jokainen voi osallistua haluamallaan tavalla – ennakko-osaamista teatterista ei tarvita. Toiminta on osallistujille maksutonta.

Espoon kaupungin tarjoama asumisneuvontapalvelu käynnistyy perjantaina 1.9.2023. Palvelua tuottaa Edistia (Espoon Diakoniasäätiö sr). Asumisneuvojat ovat sosiaalialan ammattilaisia ja he auttavat kaikkia apua tarvitsevia espoolaisia ratkaisemaan asunnon saamiseen ja asumiseen liittyviä haasteita. Palvelun tavoitteena on muun muassa vähentää häätöjä ja asunnottomuutta Espoossa.

Asumisneuvontapalvelua tarvitseva voi hakeutua asumisneuvontapalveluun itsenäisesti. Asumisneuvonta on kaupunkilaisille maksutonta.

Pienten aamu on tarkoitettu kaikille alle kolmivuotiaille vanhempineen. Aloitamme klo 10 lorutuokiolla. Sen jälkeen Satulinnaan voi jäädä klo 12 asti viettämään aikaa muiden seurassa. Tarjolla on myös kivoja kirjoja kirjastossa luettavaksi tai kotiin lainattavaksi.

Lämpimästi tervetuloa mukaan iloiseen ja avoimeen Perhekahvilaan, jossa perheet voivat tutustua paikkakunnan muihin vanhempiin ja tarjota lapsille ikäistään leikkiseuraa. Perhekahvilassa voit nauttia rennosta yhdessäolosta muiden samassa elämäntilanteessa olevien vanhempien kanssa. Kahvittelun lomassa on hyvä tilaisuus vaihtaa kuulumisia, jakaa kokemuksia ja saada vertaistukea. Lapsetkin pääsevät mukaan leikkimään ja löytämään uusia leikkikavereita kirjastossa.

Perhekahvila järjestää monipuolista toimintaa ja erilaisia aktiviteetteja kirjastossa tiistaisin klo 10.00-11.30. Voitte yhdessä leikkiä lasten kanssa ja suunnitella tulevia tapahtumia yhdessä muiden kävijöiden kanssa toiveidenne mukaisesti.

Perhekahvilat ovat vanhempien aloitteesta syntyneitä ja vapaaehtoisvoimin pyöriviä kohtaamispaikkoja, joissa jokainen osallistuja on tärkeä osa yhteisöä.

Tiistain meditaatiosessioissa 9.1., 16.1., 30.1., 6.2., 13.2., 20.2. ja 27.2. klo 10.-11.30 tutkitaan kehomieltä oman kehokokemuksen kautta, vahvistetaan uppoutumis/keskittymiskykyä ja opetellaan rentoutumaan syvästi. Syksyn mittaan tutustutaan lempeästi kehon hienovaraisten energioiden virtauksiin ja osallistujien halutessa tehdään myötätuntoa ja muita mielen vahvuuksia jalostavia harjoituksia.

Säännöllisen kehopohjaisen meditaation hyötyjä ovat stressin ja uniongelmien väheneminen, kehotietoisuuden lisääntyminen ja viihtyisyyden kasvu omassa kehossa, keskittymiskyvyn paraneminen ja kohonnut kapasiteetti elää omannäköistä ja merkitykselliseltä tuntuvaa elämää.

Harjoitukset kumpuavat buddhalaisesta perinteestä ja niiden taustoista keskustellaan jonkin verran. Meditaatiota lähestytään oma järki ja kokemus pääasiallisina työkaluina, eikä tarkoitus ole omaksua uutta uskomusjärjestelmää tai ideologiaa.

Ohjaajana toimii muusikkona ja säveltäjänä työskentelevä Kalle Ylitalo, jolla on kymmenen vuoden kokemus päivittäisestä pragmaattisen dharman ja buddhalaisen meditaation harjoittamisesta.

Osallistuminen on ilmaista. Sessioissa tehdään ensin ohjattu harjoitus, minkä jälkeen keskustelemme harjoituksesta yhdessä. Kesto on noin puolitoista tuntia, mutta kesken voi tarvittaessa poistua. Tilasta löytyy tuoleja, mukaan voi ottaa myös oman meditaatiotyynyn.

Iloiset lorutuokiot sopivat 0-3-vuotiaille vauvoille ja taaperoille vanhempineen.

Loruttelu rentouttaa, edistää lapsen kielellistä kehitystä ja auttaa lasta hahmottamaan oman kehonsa rajoja. Lorun ja leikin tukena käytetään erilaisia materiaaleja, rytmejä ja liikettä.

Ota vauvalle mukaan pehmoinen alusta köllöttelyä varten ja tule nauttimaan mukavasta yhdessäolosta!

Lorutuokion kesto on noin 30 minuuttia.
Lorutuokiot järjestetään joka tiistai 21.5. asti.

Satutuokiossa tutustutaan yhdessä erilaisiin tarinoihin.

Kannelmäen kirjastossa satutuokiot pidetään tiistaisin 9.1.- 23.4. klo 10.00-10.30. Ne on suunnattu 3-6 -vuotiaille lapsille.

Ryhmien ilmoittautuminen etukäteen kultus.fi-palvelussa: Kannelmäen kirjaston satutuokiot. Satutuokioon mahtuu useampi ryhmä kerrallaan.

Kirjaston satuhuoneessa järjestetään kaikille avoimia satuhetkiä. Tervetuloa!

Satuhetkiä on peräkkäin kaksi, joista ensimmäinen alkaa klo 9.15 ja toinen klo 9.30. Molemmat satuhetket ovat samansisältöisiä.
