Kirjat ovat suosittuja joululahjoja vuodesta toiseen. Tiistaina 12.12. klo 17–19.30 kirjastossamme palvelee jouluinen pop up -piste, joka on pyhitetty henkilökohtaiselle lahjakirjavinkkaukselle.

Meiltä saa tulla kysymään neuvoja paitsi joululahjoihin myös joulunajan lukuhetkiin. Vinkkaamme lennosta sopivaa luettavaa niin lapsille, nuorille kuin aikuisillekin. Asiantuntijoilta löytyy vinkkejä kaikista genreistä runoudesta sarjakuvaan.

Teokset ovat vuoden 2023 aikana valmistuneita akryylimaalauksia ja ostettavissa heti näyttelyn purkamisen jälkeen Instagramissa @linda.ajo.art tai sähköpostitse ajolinda1@gmail

Olen vantaalainen taidemaalari, lastensuojelun ammattilainen ja kahden lapsen äiti. Lapsuuden kodissani on piirretty, maalattu, soitettu, laulettu sekä kerrottu ja kirjoitettu satuja ja tarinoita. Olen saanut elää ja kasvaa ympäristössä, jossa luovuutta on ruokittu ja itseilmaisuun kannustettu.

Maalaan pääsääntöisesti suuria, abstrakteja akryylimaalauksia. Maalauksissani keskeisin elementti on väri ja tunnelma itsessään. Maalaan enimmäkseen sienillä ja leveillä pensseleillä, jotka jättävät tilaa yllätyksille ja sattumille.

Valmis teos on erehdysten ja onnistumisten kyllästämämä, toisaalta raaka ja rosoinenkin mielenmaisema lukuisia pinta- ja värikerrostumia. Pyrkimykseni on jättää katsojalle tila omalle, henkilökohtaiselle tulkinnalle eivätkä teokseni näin ollen ilmennä koskaan olemassa olevaa paikkaa tai aikaa.

Maalaukset syntyvät mielessä, omista tunteistani, kokemuksistani ja ajatuksistani käsin. Tutustumalla taiteeseeni sinulla on mahdollisuus pysähtyä ja hiljentyä iloa, valoa ja toivoa ilmentävien näköalojen äärelle.

JuttuTuttu on SPR Töölön osaston ystävätoiminnan kerho, joka käynnistyy yhteistyössä Töölön kirjaston kanssa. Ensimmäisellä kerralla tutustumme ja juttelemme ohjelmatoiveista, voimme tehdä erilaisia juttuja; puhetta, bingoa, pelejä — mitä osallistujat haluavat.


Keskiviikkona 13.12. klo 13.00-15.00 on luvassa yhteislaulua, kahvitarjoilua ja juttuseuraa kirjaston Mika Waltari-salissa, jonne myös joulupukki saapuu tervehtimään meitä!

Asianajajapäivystyksessä vapaaehtoiset asianajajat antavat maksutonta alkuneuvontaa oikeudellisissa asioissa. Asianajaja kertoo, onko asiassa tarpeen hakea lisää asiantuntija-apua ja ohjaa tarvittaessa asiaan perehtyneen asianajajan tai oikean viranomaisen puoleen. Päivystyksessä ei voida laatia asiakirjoja eikä hoitaa laajempia toimeksiantoja.
Jokaiselle asiakkaalle on varattu n. 15 min asiointiaikaa. Päivystyksessä käydyt keskustelut ovat aina luottamuksellisia.

Oletko koskaan ihmetellyt, miksi suomalaisten suhde metsään on niin intohimoinen? Luonto on ollut aina läsnä, myös suomalaisessa mytologiassa ja kulttuurissa, ja se on muovannut suomalaisten kertomusta itsestään kertomukseksi suomalaisesta taiteesta, puutavarasta ja talvisodasta.

Hello Forest! Hello Spirits! -seminaarissa tarkastellaan sitä, kuinka suomalainen ja myös saamelainen mytologia näkyvät erityisesti populaarikulttuurissa: sarjakuvissa, peleissä, musiikissa ja muodissa.

Seminaarin lopuksi on DIMYMYDI-projektin sekä Aalto-yliopistossa (3.-8.12.2023) pidetyn kansainvälisen opiskelijoiden mytologiatyöpajan tulosten esittely.

Have you ever wondered why Finns' relationship with the forest is so intensive? Nature has always been present in Finnish mythology and culture, and it has shaped Finns' story about themselves into a narrative about Finnish art, timber and the Winter War.

Hello Forest! Hello Spirits! -seminar introduces Finnish mythology and examines how along, with Sámi mythology, is interpreted especially in popular culture: comics, games, music and fashion.

At the end of the seminar, there is a presentation of the results of the DIMYMYDI project, and the international student mythology workshop on Finnish Mythology held at Aalto University (December 3-8, 2023).

Asianajajapäivystyksessä vapaaehtoiset asianajajat antavat maksutonta alkuneuvontaa oikeudellisissa asioissa. Asianajaja kertoo, onko asiassa tarpeen hakea lisää asiantuntija-apua ja ohjaa tarvittaessa asiaan perehtyneen asianajajan tai oikean viranomaisen puoleen. Päivystyksessä ei voida laatia asiakirjoja eikä hoitaa laajempia toimeksiantoja.
Jokaiselle asiakkaalle on varattu n. 15 min asiointiaikaa. Päivystyksessä käydyt keskustelut ovat aina luottamuksellisia.
