Dosentti Mikko Huhtamies kertoo Helsingin 1500-luvun merellisestä historiasta.

Esitys perustuu ns. voudintileistä ja muista alkuperäislähteistä kerättyyn uuteen tietoon.
Arkistojen kautta avautuu yksityiskohtainen näkymä Helsingin varhaiseen historiaan, jossa meri – avoin tai jäätynyt – on aina ollut keskeinen tekijä niin hyvässä kuin pahassakin.

Tilaisuudessa on mahdollista ostaa Huhtamiehen palkittua kirjaa Seitsemäs vyöhyke – Pohjoista merihistoriaa (1200–1600).

Kirjailija Katja Kettu vierailee Malminkartanon kirjastossa tiistaina 21.11. klo 18-19. Hänen uusin teoksensa Erään kissan tutkimuksia on kirjasyksyn merkittävimpiä teoksia. Katja Kettu on saanut lukuisia palkintoja, joista mainittakoon Kalevi Jäntin ja Runeberg-palkinnot. Hän on ollut myös Finlandia-palkintoehdokkaana teoksellaan Rose on poissa. Uutuusteoksessa useat kertojat johdattavat lukijan halki aikojen.

Haastattelijana toimii FM Tuija Takala, joka tunnetaan mm. kirjablogistaan.

Teemapäivä tarjoaa vaihtoehdon perinteiselle kulutusjuhlalle, joka saa ihmiset usein hullaantumaan ostoksista ja uusien asioiden hankkimisesta. Sen sijaan Kirjava keskiviikko kannustaa vastuullisuuteen, kestäviin valintoihin ja kiertotalouteen. Kirjava keskiviikko kokoaa saman sateenvarjon alle suutarit, räätälit, pyörähuollot, kierrätyskeskukset, kirpputorit ja muut kiertotaloustoimijat.

Tuo tarpeettomat vaatteesi, lelusi ja tavarasi vaihtopisteelle, tutustu lainattaviin tavaroihin ja koe kiertotalouden mahdollisuudet kierrätysaskartelun, musiikin ja yhteistyökumppaneiden pisteiden parissa! Marttojen asiantuntijat opastavat sinua sukkien parsimisessa ja ompelussa, samalla kun Turun ammatti-instituutti jakaa tietoa tekstiililajittelusta ja kertoo, milloin rikkinäinen vaate on jätettä ja milloin se voi toimia raaka-aineeta. Jalotus ry esittelee ilmastopalapelin, jossa voit pohtia oman kestävän elämän valintojasi, ja Goodwill tuo esiin erilaisia kierrätyslahjoja. Tervetuloa Teatteri ILMI Ö:n senioreille suunnattuihin TaideLiikutus-yhteisöteatteriryhmiin!

Yhteisöteatteriryhmissä käsitellään osallistujien kiinnostuksen kohteita erilaisten teatteri-, liike- ja musiikkiharjoitteiden kautta. Tavoitteena on toimia mukavassa ja rennossa ryhmässä, saada kokemusta teatterista ja esiintymisestä, mahdollistaa ystävyyssuhteiden kehitystä ryhmien sisällä sekä luoda vuorovaikutusta myös ryhmien välillä. Jokainen voi osallistua haluamallaan tavalla – ennakko-osaamista teatterista ei tarvita.

Yhteisöteatteriryhmät kokoontuvat Suomenlinnan kirjastossa keskiviikkoisin 25.10. 2023- 14.2.2024 klo 11.00-12.30. Ohjaajana toimii Sofia Koski.

Tervetuloa Teatteri ILMI Ö:n senioreille suunnattuihin TaideLiikutus-yhteisöteatteriryhmiin!

Yhteisöteatteriryhmissä käsitellään osallistujien kiinnostuksen kohteita erilaisten teatteri-, liike- ja musiikkiharjoitteiden kautta. Tavoitteena on toimia mukavassa ja rennossa ryhmässä, saada kokemusta teatterista ja esiintymisestä, mahdollistaa ystävyyssuhteiden kehitystä ryhmien sisällä sekä luoda vuorovaikutusta myös ryhmien välillä. Jokainen voi osallistua haluamallaan tavalla – ennakko-osaamista teatterista ei tarvita.

Yhteisöteatteriryhmät kokoontuvat Suomenlinnan kirjastossa keskiviikkoisin 25.10. 2023- 14.2.2024 klo 11.00-12.30. Ohjaajana toimii Sofia Koski.

Ongelmia tietokoneen tai tabletin kanssa? Nyt on mahdollisuus saada apua tietoteknisiin ongelmiin.

Digitalkkari opastaa tietokoneen, läppärin, tabletin tai älypuhelimen kanssa. Opastukseen voi tuoda oman laitteen mukaan. Digitalkkarina toimii tieto- ja viestintätekniikan opiskelija, joka suorittaa kirjastossa opintoihinsa liittyvää harjoittelujaksoa.

Digitalkkari on tavattavissa Rikhardinkadun kirjastossa perjantaisin 24.10.-22.12. klo 9.30–15.
