Aliaksella Avain uransa aloittaneella Matti Salolla oli aina oma painovoimansa, joka ohjasi omalle polulle. Klassikoksi muodostunut debyytti Punainen tiili toi sosiaalista realismia ja poliittista paatosta Rähinän ulosantiin, mutta varsinainen läpimurto oman äänen, oman kielen ja oman maailman, löytymiseen oli Asa.
Kieli on rytmiä ja räpinkin keskiössä on flow, eli rytminen karisma. Jo toinen Asan nimellä julkaistu levy Terveisiä kaaoksesta esitteli vuonna 2006 oman sisäisen rytminsä tahtiin toimivan sanataitelijan, joka etsi luovan yhteistyön kautta myös omaa soundiaan.
Yksi versio omasta soundista löytyi vuonna 2008 ilmestyneellä levyllä Loppuasukas. Soundi ammensi eri kansanmusiikeista roisilla otteella ja toi Asalle sekä Emma- että Teosto-palkinnot.
Viimeisen kymmenen vuoden aikana Asa on julkaissut ja esittänyt musiikkia ahkerasti, psykedeliasta vahvasti ammentavasta ja tee se itse -henkisestä Foetida-sarjasta perinteisemmällä hiphop-estetiikalla operoiviin levyihin, kuten Love ja Jou jou, sekä DJ-vetoisista keikoista Asa Bäänd II -kokoonpanon konsertteihin. Asa julkaisi joulukuussa 2022 uusimman albuminsa Täytyy mennä metsään, joka on artistin järjestyksessään 17. studioalbumi.
Vuonna 2023 Asa on taiteilijana itsenäinen sekä esteettisesti että oman levy-yhtiönsä ansiosta. On monta suuntaa, johon lähteä, monta kotia, jonne palata, monta ajatusta, jota jahdata, sanoilla ja rytmeillä, soundeilla ja näyillä.

With energetic and danceable, yet touching and melancholic tunes, the program consists of Middle Eastern classical and folk music such as Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Kurdish music from different parts of Middle East for example Egypt, Syria, Turkey and Iraq.
The soundscape of the Orchestra is coloured by Arabic instruments such as oud, tabla, riq, qanoun and saz together with Western instruments like violin and viola, cello, trumpet, clarinet and piano.
The artistic director is Oud player Ali Haitham from Iraq.
Duration approx. 1 h, no intermission.
Tickets will go on sale closer to the event.

Grammy-voittaja Lee Ritenour aloitti kitaraopintonsa jo nuorena ja innostui yhtä lailla niin folkin, jazzin kuin rock-musiikinkin maailmoista. Sessiokitaristin uransa Ritenour aloitti 16-vuotiaana, jolloin hän soitti parilla Mamas and the Papasin demolla. Näiden ensiaskelten jälkeen mennyt ei kauaakaan, kun taitavasta ja näkemyksellisestä nuorukaisesta tuli yksi Los Angelesin työllistetyimmistä studiomuusikoista.
Lee Ritenour on soittanut vuosien varrella muun muassa Aretha Franklinin, Barbara Streisandin, John Denverin, BB Kingin, Quincy Jonesin ja George Bensonin levytyksillä. Hän soitti kitaraa myös esimerkiksi Pink Floydin legendaarisella The Wall -albumilla. Yhteensä Ritenour on ollut mukana yli 3000:ssa studiosessiossa.
Vuonna 2018 Lee Ritenour kohtasi henkilökohtaisen tragedian, kun hänen kotinsa Malibussa tuhoutui tulipalossa, joka vei mukanaan yli 100 kitaraa, Ritenourin kotistudion sekä ison määrän vahvistimia ja kallisarvoisia kitarapedaaleja. Kitaristilegenda haki hävityksen jälkeen lohtua uransa ensimmäisen soolokitara-albuminsa äänittämisestä, ja Dreamcatcher-albumista muodostuikin arvostelumenestys.
Lee Ritenour on aina tunnettu todellisena musiikin palvelijana, joka asettaa elegantit arvot showtemppujen edelle. Jazzin, fuusion, countryn ja rockin ohella brasilalainen musiikki on perinteisesti ollut erityisen lähellä hänen sydäntään. Helsingissä Ritenour esiintyy kokoonpanolla, jossa soittavat hänen lisäkseen Wesley Ritenour (rummut), Melvin Lee Davis (basso) ja Jesse Milliner (koskettimet).
Live Nation ja Pori Jazz järjestävät Savoyn konsertin yhteistyönä.

Klo 12–15 Joulun minikranssi: Kuivakukkia ja kimallusta! (Malmitalon kokoushuone 3)
Tervetuloa loihtimaan lumoavia joulukoristeita yhdessä koko perheen kanssa! Askartele kimaltelevia minikransseja, joita voit koristella kuivakukilla, koristenauhoilla tai suloisilla helmillä. Pienen joulukoristeen voit ripustaa kuuseen tai kotia koristamaan.
Työpajan täyttävät luonnonmateriaalit, joulun ajanlämpö sekä tunnelmalliset jouluvalot. Koristeella voit ilahduttaa itseäsi tai antaa lahjaksi ystävälle!

Malmin Varustamon Elävä Joulukalenterissa tontut Täystuho ja Tunnollinen avaavat 1. adventin tapahtumia laulujen ja leikkien avulla. Tarjolla glögiä/mehua ja pipareita. Lämpimästi tervetuloa virittäytymään joulun odotukseen tonttujen seurassa.

Millaista kaupunkia Keski-Espooseen on suunnitteella? Tervetuloa tutustumaan ajankohtaisiin kaavoihin ja tapaamaan alueesi kaupunkisuunnittelijoita sekä päättäjiä Entressen kirjastoon ke 15.11. klo 16–19.
Esillä on ajankohtaista tietoa seuraavista kaavoista:
Virastopiha ja Espoolaistentalo, Espoontori, Kaupunginkallionrinne, Kiltaveljenmäki ja Nupurinkallio.
Voit kysyä ja keskustella myös muista Espoon keskuksen, Kuurinniityn, Kaupunginkallion, Muuralan, Karvasmäen, Gumbölen, Nupurin, Vanha-Nuuksion, Karhusuon, Ämmässuon, Kolmperän ja Siikajärven kaupunginosien kaavoituksesta.
Tilaisuudessa puhutaan myös koko Keski-Espoon tulevaisuuden näkymistä ja Espoon yleiskaavan 2060 etenemisestä.
Tapahtuma on messutyyppinen, eli voit piipahtaa paikalla koska tahansa klo 16-19 välillä. Suurin osa kolmituntisesta tapahtumasta on vapaata kiertelyä pisteillä, joissa kaupungin työntekijät vastaavat kysymyksiisi ja esittelevät aineistoja. Lyhyt yhteinen info-osuus pidetään klo 17 alkaen.
Voit jututtaa eri pisteillä mm. alueen kaavoittajia, kaupunkisuunnittelun päättäjiä ja johtajia sekä Espoon kaupunkiympäristö-toimialan työntekijöitä. Lisäksi esillä on mininäyttely Espoolaistentalon arkkitehtikilpailun voittajasta.
Kuninkaantien lukiolaiset pitävät buffetia, jossa myydään kahvia ja pientä purtavaa tilaisuuden ajan. Tuotot menevät koulun opiskelijakunnan hyväksi. Tervetuloa herkuttelemaan!

På invånarkvällen diskuterar vi framtiden för Mellersta Esbo i Entressebiblioteket onsdagen den 15 november kl. 16–19.
Aktuell information om följande planer presenteras:
Ämbetsplatsen och Esbobornas hus, Esbotorget, Stadsbergsbacken, Gillesberget och Nupurberget.
Du kan också ställa frågor om och diskutera planläggningen av andra stadsdelar i Esbo centrum, Kurängen, Stadsberget, Morby, Karvasbacka, Gumböle, Nupurböle, Gamla Noux, Björnkärr, Käringmossen, Kolmpers och Siikajärvi.
Under evenemanget talar man också om framtidsutsikterna för hela Mellersta Esbo och om hur Esbo generalplan 2060 framskrider.
Evenemanget är av mässtyp, dvs. du kan besöka platsen när som helst mellan kl. 16 och 19. Största delen av det tre timmar långa evenemanget består av fri rundvandring vid punkter där stadens anställda svarar på dina frågor och presenterar materialet. En kort gemensam information hålls från kl. 17.

Kl. 16–17: vi diskuterar pågående planprojekt med planerarna och träffar beslutsfattare och experter inom planläggning.
Kl. 17–17:45: kort information om områdets utveckling och aktuella planprojekt
Kl. 17:45–19: Diskussion om planläggningen och möten med beslutsfattare och experter vid olika stationer.

The future of the Central Espoo will be discussed at a residents’ event held at the Entresse Library on Wednesday 15 November from 16:00 to 19:00.

Joulupukilla on ongelma, sillä tuulenpuuska on napannut Joulupukin kartan sekä lahjalistan. Mitä nyt tehdään, ilman niitä pukki ei löydä lahjojen kanssa perille lasten luo! Pulasta selvitäkseen Joulupukki tarvitsee yleisön apua, jotta kartta saadaan takaisin ja joulu pelastettua. Tule mukaan kuuntelemaan jouluista musiikkia ja auttamaan pukkia saamaan karttansa sekä lahjalistansa takaisin!
Tämä tarinakonsertti sopii kaikenikäisille lapsille perheineen. Ei ennakkoilmoittautumista.
