A site-specific audiopiece that begins in Oodi central library, and takes the listener on a narrated, comical, musical wander around the railway station and surroundings, and finishes back in Oodi.
The listener first collects a map entitled \"Adventures in White Privilege\" from the brochure stand next to the info desk on the first floor of Oodi Central Library. The map includes a QR code that can be scanned with a smartphone, which will open a link where the audiopiece can be either streamed or downloaded. The listener can then hear the track through headphones and follow the directions of the audio and the map.
For potential listeners who require the loan of headphones and/or mp3 player to access the piece, there will be a small number available on request at the info desk.
The piece is free of charge and will be launched at 15.00 on 24.09.23 and will be available at any time during Oodi's opening hours until 24.10.23.

Tässä runopajassa kirjoitamme runoja pareittain ja ryhmässä. Yhdessä kirjoittaminen tarjoaa ainutlaatuisen tilaisuuden jakaa ideoita ja näkökulmia muiden kanssa, mikä voi johtaa uusiin ja mielenkiintoisiin suuntiin kirjoittamisessa.
Aikaisempaa kokemusta ei tarvita, tärkeintä on halu kokeilla runojen kirjoittamista yhdessä.

Tule mukaan 19.10. klo 18.00 Etelä-Haagan kirjastoon juhlimaan Aleksis Kiven elämänmakuista tuotantoa laulun, musiikin, rytmin, lausunnan keinoin! Tomi Pulkkinen on säveltänyt uusia lauluja Kiven teksteihin, ja esityksessä kuullaan ja lauletaan yhdessä myös traditionaalinen ”Seitsemän veljeksen laulu” mukaansatempaavana sovituksena. Kappaleiden väleihin lomittuu lausuntaa viulusäestyksellä.
”Ikävyydestä” ”Onnellisiin”, Kiven maailmaan mahtuu koko tunteiden kirjo, jota Tomi Pulkkinen Trio välittää omaperäisellä, intensiivisellä tyylillään, huumoriakaan unohtamatta. Trioon kuuluvat pitkän linjan viulutaiteilija Arto Nybom sekä monipuolinen perkussionisti Joel Jaakkola.

Tomi Pulkkinen on esiintyvä taiteilija, lauluntekijä ja kirjailija, joka tunnetaan myös taannoisesta erikoisesta ammatistaan Suomen ensimmäisenä kirjastojen kuukausipalkkaisena trubaduurina.
Lokakuussa 2022 ilmestyi Tomi Pulkkisen uusin teos ”Rakasta epätoivoa - Lordi Byronin päiväkirjat ja autofiktion synty” (Kulttuurivihkot 2022). Koulutukseltaan Tomi Pulkkinen on filosofian maisteri Helsingin yliopistosta pääaineenaan kotimainen kirjallisuus.

Selkokirja-lukupiirissä kehität suomen kielen sekä lukemisen taitoasi rennossa ilmapiirissä. Samalla tutustut Suomen kirjallisuuteen, kulttuuriin ja historiaan. Lukupiiri on tarkoitettu A2.1 -kielitaitotason hallitseville tai harjaantuneemmillekin suomen lukijoille.

Lukupiiri on kaikille avoin eikä siihen tarvitse erikseen ilmoittautua. Voit osallistua silloin, kun itsellesi sopii, myös yksittäiselle kerralle.
Lukupiirissä luettavia kirjoja voit itse varata HelMetistä tai noutaa Töölön kirjaston 2. kerroksesta.

Työpajan aikana tehdään osallistujien kanssa rap-kappale aiheen päättämisestä kirjoittamiseen ja äänittämiseen. Työpajan kesto on 3h ja mukana on kaksi ohjaajaa jotka ovat rap-alan ammattilaisia. Osallistujien määrää ei ole rajoitettu eikä ennakkoilmoittautumista tarvita. Työpaja on suunnattu 13-17 –vuotiaille nuorille. Työpaja pidetään Tikkurilan kirjaston musiikkiosaston soittohuoneessa. Saavu paikalle vähän ennen neljää.

Välkommen till språkcafé e-Ekstra! Böle bibliotekets språkcafé e-Ekstra är en finskspråkig diskussionsgrupp som samlas varje torsdag kl. 17-19 på Skype.
Instruktioner:
Att ringa med Skype till en annan Skype-adress är kostnadsfritt.

–Ett gruppsamtal skapas för mötet.
1) Skaffa Skype-applikationen
Det mest praktiska sättet att komma med i mötet är att använda Skype-applikationen. Starta Skype. Använd din webbläsare och skriv in webbadressen ovan för att komma med.
Skype-appen kan installeras gratis på din dator eller smartphone. Den kan laddas ner från https://www.skype.com/en/get-skype/
– Du kan sedan skapa ditt eget Skype-ID, om du inte redan har det.
2) Delta utan installerad Skype-applikation.
Du kan också gå med i mötet utan installerad Skype-applikation genom att använda webbadressen ovan. Säg ditt namn när du blir tillfrågad. (Det här fungerar tyvärr inte med alla webbläsare - använd i så fall Skype-applikationen).

Tarvitsetko apua koulutehtävissä?
LäksyHelpissä Punaisen Ristin vapaaehtoiset ohjaajat auttavat lapsia, nuoria ja aikuisia läksyjen teossa. Toiminta on tarkoitettu peruskoulun ja toisen asteen oppilaille. Toiminta on maksutonta ja kaikille avointa. Tervetuloa!
LäksyHelppi on torstaisin Keskustakirjasto Oodissa. Syksyn ensimmäinen Läksyhelppi 17.8. järjestetään poikkeuksellisesti 3.krs lastenalueen yläparvella.
