Tervetuloa Myyrmäen kirjaston englanninkieliseen lukupiiriin! Lukupiiri kokoontuu joka kuun toinen keskiviikko, jolloin sinulla on mahdollisuus tavata muita kirjallisuudesta kiinnostuneita ihmisiä rennossa ilmapiirissä. Osallistuminen ei vaadi täydellistä englannin kielen taitoa.

Voit noutaa lukupiirikirjat Myyrmäen kirjastosta kuukausi ennen kokoontumiskertaa. Voit myös varata lukupiirikirjat Helmet.fi:stä ja noutaa ne haluamastasi Helmet-kirjastosta. Jos et ehdi lukemaan kirjaa ajoissa, voit silti osallistua lukupiiriin. Pidäthän kuitenkin mielessä, että lukupiirikeskustelun aikana saattaa ilmetä juonipaljastuksia!

Welcome to Myyrmäki library’s English Book Club! The Book Club will be held every second Wednesday of the month. The Book Club is open for everyone who is interested in reading books in wide spectrum and is looking for a place to meet new people with shared interests. In order to join, you don’t need to be fluent in English but it would be advisable that you’re able to read and discuss in English.

Tule mukaan 11.10. klo 18.00 Munkkiniemen kirjastoon juhlimaan Aleksis Kiven elämänmakuista tuotantoa laulun, musiikin, rytmin, lausunnan keinoin! Tomi Pulkkinen on säveltänyt uusia lauluja Kiven teksteihin, ja esityksessä kuullaan ja lauletaan yhdessä myös traditionaalinen ”Seitsemän veljeksen laulu” mukaansatempaavana sovituksena. Kappaleiden väleihin lomittuu lausuntaa viulusäestyksellä.

”Ikävyydestä” ”Onnellisiin”, Kiven maailmaan mahtuu koko tunteiden kirjo, jota Tomi Pulkkinen Trio välittää omaperäisellä, intensiivisellä tyylillään, huumoriakaan unohtamatta. Trioon kuuluvat pitkän linjan viulutaiteilija Arto Nybom sekä monipuolinen perkussionisti Joel Jaakkola.

Tomi Pulkkinen on esiintyvä taiteilija, lauluntekijä ja kirjailija, joka tunnetaan myös taannoisesta erikoisesta ammatistaan Suomen ensimmäisenä kirjastojen kuukausipalkkaisena trubaduurina.

Lokakuussa 2022 ilmestyi Tomi Pulkkisen uusin teos ”Rakasta epätoivoa - Lordi Byronin päiväkirjat ja autofiktion synty” (Kulttuurivihkot 2022). Koulutukseltaan Tomi Pulkkinen on filosofian maisteri Helsingin yliopistosta pääaineenaan kotimainen kirjallisuus.

Toni Perttulan musiikissa lyyrinen harmonikansoitto yhdistyy vasaroiden ja alasimien karkeisiin pamauksiin, kutsuen kuulijan maailmaan, jossa musiikkia taotaan uuteen muotoon.

Perttulan debyyttilevy Pajavasara julkaistiin toukokuussa 2021 arvostetun levy-yhtiön, Bafe's Factoryn toimesta. Julkaisun jälkeen levy on saanut kiitettävää palautetta etno- ja kansanmusiikkiin keskittyneeltä medialta. Levy ja sen livetoteutus on tehty hyödyntäen sähköharmonikkaa, jonka soitosta Perttulalla on hallussaan maailmanmestaruustitteli vuodelta 2008.

Lumossa lukukoira Hapolle pääset lukemaan 1-2 kaksi kertaa kuussa keskiviikkoisin klo 17-18. Yksi lukuhetki kestää max. 15 minuuttia. Voit lukea koiralle mukaan ottamaasi kirjaa tai valita mieleisesi kirjaston kirjoista. Lukukoiran emäntä on läsnä lukuhetkessä.

Ikäsuositus on 5-vuotiaasta ylöspäin.

Haluaisitko harjoitella ääneen lukemista? Lukukoira on kärsivällinen kuuntelija, jonka kanssa lukemista ei tarvitse jännittää.

Lukukoira on paikalla ke 13.9., 11.10., 22.11. ja 20.12. Varattavat ajat ovat kunakin päivänä klo 17, klo 17.20 ja klo 17.40. Yksi lukuhetki kestää noin 15 min.

Varaa oma aikasi sähköpostitse oulunkylan_kirjasto@hel.fi. Kirjoita aihekenttään LUKUKOIRA. Lukijan alaikäraja 6 vuotta.

Lukuhetki pidetään monitoimitilassa, ja hetkeen osallistuvat lukija, koira ja koiran ohjaaja. Ohjaajan tehtävä on valvoa lukuhetkeä sivusta, mutta ei puuttua sen kulkuun. Voit valita luettavan kirjan kirjastosta tai tuoda lempikirjan mukanasi.

Lukukoiratoiminnan tavoitteena on lukuharrastuksen edistäminen ja onnistuneen lukukokemuksen luominen. Koirien on todettu lisäävän ihmisen mielihyvähormonien määrää sekä rentouttavan mieltä, minkä vuoksi niiden vaikutus myös lukemiseen liittyvissä haasteissa on myönteinen. Koiralle lukemisen on todettu auttavan lukihäiriöisiä lapsia sekä aikuisia. Koiran läsnäolo vähentää lukemiseen liittyvää kynnystä ja stressiä. Koira ei arvostele, takerru virheisiin tai keskeytä vaan lukijalla on rauha harjoitella lukemista.

Kaikille avoin ja ilmainen kielikahvila suomen kielen puhumiseen. Kielikahvilaan voi osallistua, jos haluaa oppia puhumaan suomea. Myös aloittelijat ovat tervetulleita.

Kielikahvilaan ei tarvitse ilmoittautua etukäteen. Mukaan voi tulla koska tahansa.

Kielikahvilassa opit puhumaan arkielämän suomen kieltä. Kielikahvilassa pääset puhumaan suomea suomalaisten kanssa.

Tule tutustumaan vapaaehtoistoimintaan! Mahtavia mahdollisuuksia päästä tekemään itselle merkityksellisiä asioita, oppia uutta ja saada vaikuttaa. Tietysti myös muuta mukavaa festariohjelmaa.

Kansalaisareenan JEP – Nuorten näköinen vapaaehtoistoiminta -hanke järjestää yhteistyössä muiden vapaaehtoistoimijoiden kanssa Nuorten vapaaehtoistoiminnan festarit keskiviikkona 11.10.2023 Helsingin keskustakirjasto Oodissa.

Iltapäivällä klo 13.30–17 vapaaehtoistoimintaa tarjoavat organisaatiot pääsevät tekemään vapaaehtoistoiminta tutuksi nuorille Vapaaehtoistoiminnan festareilla Oodin Maijansalissa. Tapahtumaan on ilmoittautunut 25 eri alan organisaatiota. Tervetuloa mukaan, luvassa vuoden viilein vapaaehtoistoiminnan tapahtuma!

Kiinnostaako piirtäminen ja maalaaminen iPadilla? Ryhmissä opetellaan perusteet digimaalaamiseen ja kuvankäsittelyyn käyttäen Adobe Fresco-ohjelmaa yhdessä Apple Pencilin kanssa. Ryhmän ohjaajana toimii Pohjois-Helsingin kuvataidekoulun ammattitaitoinen kuvataideopettaja. Maksuttomat digitaideryhmät 6.9.2023 alkaen Oodin 2 krs., Oppimistila 1. Koulujen lomaviikoilla ei järjestetä toimintaa.

Vuosaaren kirjaston Keskiviikkokerhossa askarrellaan, puuhaillaan ja pelaillaan yhdessä koulun jälkeen. Tervetuloa mukaan kaikki koululaiset!

Keskiviikkokerhon ohjelma vaihtelee viikoittain askartelusta ja taiteilusta kortti- tai lautapelien pelailuun. Kerho kokoontuu Vuosaaren kirjaston lastenalueen suuren pöydän ääressä joka keskiviikko klo 15-16, ja mukaan mahtuu kerralla noin 12 lasta. Ei ennakkoilmoittautumista!

Interested in arts and crafts and board games? Want to hang out together after school? Everyone is welcome to join us at the Wednesday Club at Vuosaari Library!

The Wednesday Club, Keskiviikkokerho, is open to all children aged 7-12 who wish to participate in joint activities in the library after school. The club’s program varies weekly from arts and crafts to playing card or board games. The club gathers around the large table in the children's area of Vuosaari library every Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m. The table seats about 12 children at a time. No enrolment in advance is needed.

The club instructors speak mainly Finnish, but children with little or no skills in Finnish language are welcome to join the club nonetheless. See you at the library!
