Come and practice reading with library´s Reading Dog!

During a 15-minute reading session, you can read aloud to the dog. Reading Dog listens patiently without criticism or interruptions. Dog´s trainer will be present at the session.

You can meet the Reading Dog in Rikhardinkatu Library on August 29, September 12 and 26, October 10 and 24, November 7 and 21, and December 19, between 5.30 PM and 7 PM.

Haluaisitko harjoitella ääneen lukemista? Lukukoira on kärsivällinen kuuntelija, jonka kanssa lukemista ei tarvitse jännittää.

Varaa oma aikasi Rikhardinkadun kirjaston lastenosastolta tai numerosta (09) 3108 5813.

Lukukoira on paikalla tiistaisin ti 29.8., 12.9., 26.9., 10.10., 24.10., 7.11., 21.11. ja 19.12., klo. 17.30 – 19.00

Yksi lukuhetki kestää noin 15 min. Lukuhetkeen osallistuvat lukija, koira ja koiran ohjaaja. Ohjaajan tehtävä on valvoa lukuhetkeä sivusta, mutta ei puuttua sen kulkuun.

Kennelliiton lukukoirat

Lukukoiratoiminnan tavoitteena on lukuharrastuksen edistäminen ja onnistuneen lukukokemuksen luominen. Koirien on todettu lisäävän ihmisen mielihyvähormonien määrää sekä rentouttavan mieltä, minkä vuoksi niiden vaikutus myös lukemiseen liittyvissä haasteissa on myönteinen. Koiralle lukemisen on todettu auttavan lukihäiriöisiä lapsia sekä aikuisia. Koiran läsnäolo vähentää lukemiseen liittyvää kynnystä ja stressiä. Koira ei arvostele, takerru virheisiin tai keskeytä vaan lukijalla on rauha harjoitella lukemista.

Come to the free programming classes to learn about the basics of Linux operating system and Python programming. Classes can be held in Finnish and English, at Hakunila library, Vantaa, every Tuesday 5 September 2023 – 5 December 2023.

If you are interested, mail me in linuxpy2022@gmail.com informing briefly about your educational background and motivation to study this course. The only requirement for this course is an open mind with eagerness to learn!

Länsimäen shakkikerho on avoin kaiken ikäisille vasta-alkajille. Tervetuloa mukaan! Shakkikerho kokoontuu joka tiistai klo 17 alkaen Länsimäen kirjaston neuvottelutilassa.

Shakkikerhon vetäjänä toimii Stigu, joka on kokenut shakkikonkari. Tarjolla perehdytystä pelin sääntöihin ja myös tietoa shakin historiasta.

Klovnihahmot Dahlia Humus (Sinikka Lumiluoto) ja Gertrud Steinohr (Henna Hakkarainen) avaavat Runovastaanoton, johon voi tulla yksin tai toisten kanssa. Runovastaanotolle osallistuva saa lausuttuna ja kirjallisena poeettisen reseptin, joka on ns. instant- runoutta. Runovastaanotto on osallistava taidekohtaaminen, johon teatteriklovneria tuo yllätyksellisiä elementtejä.

Tervetuloa kuuntelemaan satuja Maunulan kirjastoon!

3–6-vuotiaille suunnatut satutuokiot järjestetään kerran kuussa tiistaisin klo 18. Myös vanhemmat ovat tervetulleita kuuntelemaan satuja ja nauttimaan tarinatuokiosta lasten kanssa.
Satutuokion kesto on noin 20min.

Käytössä on PlayStation 5 ja valikoima konsolipelejä. Pelituokioon tarvitsee oman, voimassa olevan kirjastokortin, jota vastaan ohjain lainataan. Pelaamaan pääsee enintään 4 pelaajaa samaan aikaan, peliaikaa on 30 minuuttia. Pelattavat pelit ovat ikärajoiltaan PEGI 3 ja PEGI 7. Vuoroa odotellessasi voit pelata vaikka lauta -tai korttipelejä.

Hei lapset! Haluatko harjoitella ääneen lukemista? Tule kirjastoon tapaamaan lukukoira Hippua. Mistähän tarinoista Hippu tykkäisi? Kirjastolaiset tuovat paikalle helppolukuisia kirjoja, joista voit valita mitä haluat lukea Hipulle ääneen. Varaa oma lukuaikasi etukäteen kirjastosta.

Ohjeet lukuhetkeä varten:

  • Varaa vuoro asiakaspalveusta paikan päällä tai puhelimitse (puh. 043 8248 306).
  • Yksi lukija kerrallaan.
  • Lukukoiran kanssa voi harjoitella ääneen lukemista.
  • Rauhoitutaan lukemiseen - lukukoira on lukukaveri, ei leikkikaveri.
    Lukukoirat pitävät silityksestä. Kysy kuitenkin ensin omistajalta lupa.
  • Alle kouluikäisillä aikuinen mukaan.

    • Vanhemmille: Lukukoira auttaa lasta oppimaan lukemaan. Lapsi lukee koiralle rauhallisessa paikassa omaan tahtiinsa. Koira on hyvä kuuntelija, se ei arvostele eikä kiinnitä huomiota lukuvirheisiin. Koiralle lukeminen innostaa siten lasta jatkamaan lukemaan opettelua.

    Tervetuloa Myyrmäen kirjaston musiikkisatutunneille! Toiminnallisilla musiikkisatutunneilla sukelletaan kirjojen ja tarinoiden maailmaan musiikin avulla. Satuhetkien aikana soitetaan, lauletaan ja liikutaan, tai vain kuunnellaan ja katsellaan. Sadut vaihtuvat joka viikko.

    Musiikkisatuja on kaksi peräkkäin:
    Klo 16–16.30 0–3-vuotiaille
    Klo 17–17.30 3–7-vuotiaille

    Ikäsuositus on suuntaa-antava. Klo 16 alkavalla satutunnilla on enemmän toimintaa ja vähemmän tekstiä kuin klo 17 alkavalla satutunnilla. Satu saattaa kuitenkin olla sama peräkkäisillä satutunneilla.

    Huomioi: musiikkisatuja ei järjestetä tiistaina 24.10.2023 (viikko 43).
