We welcome you to these meetings for Spanish-speaking families and babies. At PICNIC you can meet other families, make new friends, play, sing, learn together, and enjoy a safe gathering around Helmet's collection of children's literature in Spanish.

We look forward to seeing you every Tuesday, from 29 August, from 10 to 11 am, in the green room of the children's section of the Pasila Library.

All families are welcome. PICNIC is made by all of us, so come along and bring something to share!

PICNIC is a co-production between the community of Spanish-speaking families and the professionals of Kulttuurikeskus Ninho ry.

Would you like to learn Finnish? Let’s Read Together -group gathers once a week for about two hours.

The group practices reading, writing, listening and talking in Finnish.

Teachers of the groups are volunteers.

Studying is free.

You can take your children with you.

You can join whenever you like.

The library group is for everybody (women and men).

Please note that on 20th of November group exceptionally gathers on the second floor.

ÄÄNIAALTO is an annual sound oriented new media festival. ÄÄNIAALTO spans into multiple days and venues presenting striking sonic oddities in the form of performances, installations, workshops and open lectures. Festival has become a linking platform between emerging promises in the field and established artists. The aim of ÄÄNIAALTO is to create a fluent network in the sonic new media scene in Helsinki and an open culture accessible to anybody interested in learning and engaging with the new media’s practices.

Kom och berätta ditt önskemål till bibliotekets personal och bekanta dig med schemat för filmvisningarna på barnavdelningen i Sellobiblioteket.

Filmerna har rekommendationsålder T (tillåten för alla åldrar) eller 7 (tillåten för barn över 7 år). Språket för föreställningen är finska. Språket för textningen väljs enligt barnens önskemål.

In the Red Cross Helpers' Club, you learn life-saving first aid skills, receive an official first aid certificate, practice Finnish in a fun, relaxed environment and make new friends!

The teaching is in basic Finnish and English.

Drawing Time is about having fun while drawing. Together we will learn some drawing tricks and magic. The drawing sessions are hosted by Vaidas, a long time illustrator and concept artist for film and games. He comes with lived experience and some fun stories from inside the industry. With strong passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge Vaidas wishes to get you interested in expressing yourself with the simple tools like pens and paper. Everything needed for the classes will be provided by the library. Let’s draw together!
