Virittäydy Itämeripäivän tunnelmaan katsomalla KAMU Espoon kaupunginmuseon saaristoelokuvia stagella klo 16–19.

Elokuvissa pääset tutustumaan esimerkiksi Saaristomuseo Pentalaan. Saaristomuseon Gurlin talo on kotimuseo, jossa aika on pysäytetty kalastajan leski Gurli Nyholmin elämän viimeiseen kesään 1986. Ruokokattoisessa ranta-aitassa on nähtävillä ympärivuotisesta kalastuksesta kertova näyttely. Voit myös astua sisään yhteen Espoon vanhimmista asuinrakennuksista, 1700-luvun lopulla rakennettuun kalastajamökkiin, jonka ikkunasta voit ihailla samaa merimaisemaa kuin aikanaan Pentalassa lomailleet kesäasukkaat.

Mikä on Itämeripäivä?

John Nurmisen Säätiön käynnistämää ja koordinoimaa Itämeripäivää vietetään vuosittain aina elokuun viimeisenä torstaina erilaisten tapahtumien ja tempausten parissa. Teemapäivän tavoitteena on nostaa esille tärkeitä merellisiä aiheita ja innostaa tekemään konkreettisia tekoja Itämeren hyväksi. Päivä juhlistaa meren monimuotoisuutta ja mittaamatonta arvoa. Juhlinnan lisäksi tavoitteena on lisätä tietoa meren luonnosta, kulttuurista ja historiasta. Vuonna 2023 Itämeripäivää vietetään 31.8. Lue lisää osoitteesta itämeripäivä.fi

Tervetuloa Adrian Soton toimittaman Viheltäen lumisateessa -kirjan julkistustilaisuuteen Oodin Saarikoski-matolla (3. krs) klo 17 alkaen!

Viheltäen lumisateessa on narratiivi journalismin ja lähihistorian välillä. Lukuisat henkilöhaastattelut tallentavat rikkaita tarinoita yhteiseen muistiimme. Teos tarjoaa taustan vuoden 1973 tapahtumiin sekä Chilessä että Suomessa. Kylmän sodan keskellä Suomi päätti avata ovensa ensimmäistä kertaa tasavallan historiassa pienelle määrälle pakolaisia Chilestä.

Nyt, puoli vuosisataa myöhemmin, nämä pakolaiset kertovat henkilökohtaisen tarinansa, joka on myös kollektiivinen.

Silbando bajo la nieve: es un ejercicio narrativo entre historia reciente y periodismo. Los ricos testimonios de los protagonistas también representan un rescate de la memoria. El libro ofrece un trasfondo a los hechos de 1973 tanto en Chile como en Finlandia. En un periodo álgido de la Guerra Fría, Finlandia abrió sus puertas, por primera vez en su historia, a un pequeño número de refugiados de Chile.

Ahora, medio siglo después, estos refugiados relatan su historia personal que también es colectiva.

Voit myös astua sisään yhteen Espoon vanhimmista asuinrakennuksista, 1700-luvun lopulla rakennettuun kalastajamökkiin, jonka ikkunasta voit ihailla samaa merimaisemaa kuin aikanaan Pentalassa lomailleet kesäasukkaat.

John Nurmisen Säätiön käynnistämää ja koordinoimaa Itämeripäivää vietetään vuosittain aina elokuun viimeisenä torstaina erilaisten tapahtumien ja tempausten parissa. Teemapäivän tavoitteena on nostaa esille tärkeitä merellisiä aiheita ja innostaa tekemään konkreettisia tekoja Itämeren hyväksi. Päivä juhlistaa meren monimuotoisuutta ja mittaamatonta arvoa. Mikä on Itämeripäivä?

John Nurmisen Säätiön käynnistämää ja koordinoimaa Itämeripäivää vietetään vuosittain aina elokuun viimeisenä torstaina erilaisten tapahtumien ja tempausten parissa. Teemapäivän tavoitteena on nostaa esille tärkeitä merellisiä aiheita ja innostaa tekemään konkreettisia tekoja Itämeren hyväksi. Päivä juhlistaa meren monimuotoisuutta ja mittaamatonta arvoa. Juhlinnan lisäksi tavoitteena on lisätä tietoa meren luonnosta, kulttuurista ja historiasta. Vuonna 2023 Itämeripäivää vietetään 31.8. Lue lisää osoitteesta itämeripäivä.fi

Meillä on ilo paljastaa uusin taidekokoelmamme \"Journey Within and Beyond\" -näyttely. Tämä kokoelma tutkii runouden ja kuvataiteen syvällistä yhteyttä, joka herätetään henkiin Maryam Sabooni Asre Hazerin vision kautta. Suomen Pakolaisavun Kurvi-toiminto tarjoaa apua Suomeen muuttaneille ihmisille. Voit pyytää apua maahanmuuton eri vaiheista sekä maahanmuuton eri kysymyksissä esimerkiksi oleskeluluvat, perheenyhdistäminen, passit ja kansalaisuuden hakeminen. Voit myös pyytää apua Suomessa oleville perheenjäsenellesi tai ystävällesi.
