Tapahtuma on osa Vanhusten Turva sr:n ja Vuosaaren kirjaston ikäihmisten aktivointiin suunniteltua sarjaa, joka toteutetaan neljänä peräkkäisenä tiistai-iltapäivänä syys-lokakuussa 2023. Sarjan tapahtumat ovat:

Ti 12.9. klo 13-14 Antti Koli opastaa kaupunkiluonnon ja monimuotoisuuden saloihin sanoin ja kuvin.

Ti 19.9. klo 13-14 Lähiluontokävely ja käytännön tutustuminen monimuotoisuutta edistäviin tekoihin Antti Kolin johdolla.

Ti 26.9. klo 13-14 Paikalliset toimijat esittelevät senioreille suunnattua toimintaansa. Mukana mm. Vuosaaren kirjasto, Vanhusten Turva sr ja Omakotisäätiö.

Ti 3.10. klo 13-14 Vuosaari eilen, tänään ja huomenna: Arkkitehti Petri Leppälä esittelee Vuosaaren historiaa ja tulevaisuutta kaupunkiympäristön/kaavoituksen näkökulmasta. Sen lisäksi esitellään vanhoja ja uudempia kuvia alueesta.

Tervetuloa Hiiliviisas kaupunkivihreä -festivaaleille Keskustakirjasto Oodiin Suomen luonnon päivänä 26.8.2023!
Festivaali on suunnattu kaikille kaupunkilaisille ja ohjelma on Maijansalissa, pop-up alueella ja Oodin lipan alla.

Ohjelmassa on monipuolisesti tekemistä ja tietoa kaupunkien viherympäristöistä ja niiden tärkeästä roolista ilmastonmuutoksen hillinnässä ja siihen sopeutumisessa.
Tule tutustumaan hiiliviisauteen ja viherympäristöjen hiilinieluihin!
Päivän ohjelmassa on mm. paneelikeskusteluja, puutarhavalmennuksia, työpajoja lapsille ja opastettuja kierroksia Töölönlahdella.

Oheisen ohjelman lisäksi koko päivän:
• Puunhalausviikko ja puusuunnistus Töölönlahdella (VYL)
• Piirrä oma puu – piirrospaja Oodin aulassa
• Puun olemusta etsimässä – maisema-arkkitehtuuriopiskelijoiden puunäyttely

Participatory video, or PV, is a set of tools and techniques that enables a group of people to collectively, equitably, and visually tell their own stories. PV has been used extensively in development communication and has made its way into research, both as a subject and as a methodology.

Kazimuddin (Kazu) Ahmed and Seno Tsuhah from India’s northeast will share their experiences from using PV as methodology for research as well as a tool for social action and change. They will discuss how one led to the creation of award-winning community filmmakers and the other struggled to set up a sustained PV intervention.

📢14.00-19.00 Free bicycle maintenance services on the right-hand side of the main doors at Espoo Cultural Centre.
The bicycle quick maintenance includes minor adjustments, such as brake and gear tuning or changing riding settings. The service is provided by the City of Espoo's \"It’s Like Riding a Bicycle’\" project.

Tero Somppi on kirjailijavieraana lauantaina 26.8. klo 12.15-13.15 Kanneltalon kahvilan stagella. Erikoiskirjastovirkailija Tuulikki Kuurne haastattelee. Haastattelun aiheena on Sompin uusin jännityskirja Vihan aallot (Myllylahti 2023).

Welcome to the theatre with all your senses!

The Sixth Sense demo performances were born in a masterclass workshop organized during the SAMPO 2023 Festival, led by the Ukrainian theater professional Kateryna Lukianenko. In the workshop, the limits of theatre and the possibilities of making inclusive performances that can be understood by both sighted and blind viewers, adults and children have been explored together. Viewers are asked to use all five senses – 5D theater, as the Ukrainian children called it – to find the \"sixth sense\" that can make people equal viewers regardless of their disabilities.

Taste, smell, touch, hearing and visual senses are equally present: \"Sixth Sense\" is a presentation of senses and sensations.

The festival is organized by Puppet Theatre Sampo. More info about the project: www.sampofestival.fi

Sixth Sense -demoesitykset ovat syntyneet SAMPO 2023 Festivaalin aikana järjestetyssä masterclass-työpajassa, jonka vetäjänä on ukrainalainen teatterintekijä Kateryna Lukianenko. Työpajassa on yhdessä tutkittu teatterin rajoja ja mahdollisuuksia tehdä inklusiivisia esityksiä, jotka sekä näkevät että sokeat katsojat, aikuiset ja lapset voivat ymmärtää yhtälailla. Katsojia pyydetään käyttämään kaikkia viittä aistia – 5D-teatteri, kuten ukrainalaiset lapset sitä kutsuivat – löytääkseen \"kuudennen aistin\", joka voi tehdä ihmisistä tasa-arvoisia katsojina heidän vammoistaan riippumatta. Maku-, haju-, tunto-, kuulo- ja visuaalinen aisti ovat yhtä lailla läsnä: ”Sixth Sense” on aistien ja aistimusten esitys.

BOOKPERFORMANCE is a literary and artistic concept as well as a world-view.

Here are the papers of a book, metaphorically leaves of a tree and individuals of a society. They got collectively painted during the BOOKPERFORMANCE event that took place on the 27th May 2023, at OODI.

Thanks to the energy and the synergy that was created all together within a linguistic and cultural diversity in the happening, a down-to-earth contribution about books and trees thus knowledge and nature was planted into the collective consciousness. The co-created paintings are sold and with the revenue trees are planted for the life on Earth.

You are welcome to see the documentation of this event which is showcased as a digital exhibition at OODI, at any time during 2 weeks, between 21st August and 3rd September.

Sixth Sense -demoesitykset ovat syntyneet SAMPO 2023 Festivaalin aikana järjestetyssä masterclass-työpajassa, jonka vetäjänä on ukrainalainen teatterintekijä Kateryna Lukianenko. Työpajassa on yhdessä tutkittu teatterin rajoja ja mahdollisuuksia tehdä inklusiivisia esityksiä, jotka sekä näkevät että sokeat katsojat, aikuiset ja lapset voivat ymmärtää yhtälailla. Katsojia pyydetään käyttämään kaikkia viittä aistia – 5D-teatteri, kuten ukrainalaiset lapset sitä kutsuivat – löytääkseen \"kuudennen aistin\", joka voi tehdä ihmisistä tasa-arvoisia katsojina heidän vammoistaan riippumatta. Maku-, haju-, tunto-, kuulo- ja visuaalinen aisti ovat yhtä lailla läsnä: ”Sixth Sense” on aistien ja aistimusten esitys.

Welcome to the theatre with all your senses!

The Sixth Sense demo performances were born in a masterclass workshop organized during the SAMPO 2023 Festival, led by the Ukrainian theater professional Kateryna Lukianenko. In the workshop, the limits of theatre and the possibilities of making inclusive performances that can be understood by both sighted and blind viewers, adults and children have been explored together. Viewers are asked to use all five senses – 5D theater, as the Ukrainian children called it – to find the \"sixth sense\" that can make people equal viewers regardless of their disabilities.

Taste, smell, touch, hearing and visual senses are equally present: \"Sixth Sense\" is a presentation of senses and sensations.
