Arkkitehdit suunnittelevat rakennuksia ja ympäristöä, mutta suunniteltuja tiloja ja paikkoja käyttävät kaikki arjessaan. Oletko miettinyt, mitkä paikat tai rakennukset ovat tärkeitä sinulle? Ketkä tekevät arkkitehtuuria? Ketkä saavat puhua arkkitehtuurista? Voidaanko kaikki rakentaminen nähdä arkkitehtuurina, joka on arvokasta jollekin?

Arkkitehtuurimuseo ja Designmuseo ovat käynnistäneet Arkkitehtuuria laatikon ulkopuolella -hankkeen. Sen tarkoitus on tutustua pääkaupunkiseudun paikallisiin yhteisöihin ja tehdä yhteistyötä heidän kanssaan museorakennusten ulkopuolella. Often people think that only historically or otherwise significant buildings are architecture. Architects design buildings and the environment but the designed spaces and places are used by everyone in their daily lives. Have you thought about what places and buildings are important to you? Who makes architecture? Who is allowed to discuss architecture? Can all construction be seen as architecture that is valuable to someone?

The Museum of Finnish Architecture and Design Museum Helsinki have launched an initiative called Architecture Outside the Box. The aim of the initiative is to get to know the local communities based in the capital region and collaborate with them outside of the museum buildings. We want to learn how the museum can support the local communities. Later during the year, we will work together on projects planned by the local communities.

Heikki Lindgren, äänitaiteilija ja ambient-musiikin tekijä, on omistautunut pitkän äänen estetiikan kokeiluille. Hänen työnsä sisältävät usein yhteistyötä eri taiteilijoiden kanssa, yhdistäen perinteisiä suomalaisia arkaaisia soittimia elektronisen musiikin mahdollisuuksiin sävellyksissään ja improvisaatioissaan.

Tässä kuuden tunnin improvisaatiosessiossa hän keskittyy jouhikon äänen estetiikkaan pitkän äänen, toiston ja elektronisen musiikin työkalujen avulla. Kun aika ei ole rajoitteena livekonserttitilanteessa, pienetkin liikkeet voivat johtaa lopulta dramaattisiin muutoksiin.

Tervetuloa mukaan Espoon kaupunginkirjaston tarjoamaan 7–12-vuotiaiden ukuleleryhmään. Tunneilla on tarkoitus tutustua musiikkiin monipuolisesti. Harjoittelemme sointujen, sekä melodian soittamista kappaleiden avulla. Lisäksi teemme musiikin hahmottamista ja ryhmäytymistä tukevia harjoituksia leikkimällä ja piirtämällä. Opetus on oppilaslähtöistä. Kirjastolla on runsaasti ukuleleja, joita voi lainata tunnin ajaksi.

Tunnille mahtuu 15 lasta. Osallistuminen on maksutonta.

We practice how to play melody and harmony with well-known songs. Teaching is student-centered. The Library has ukuleles that can be borrowed for the lesson.

15 children can attend the class. Participation is free of charge.

Tervetuloa mukaan Espoon kaupunginkirjaston ukulelen jatkoryhmään. Soitamme tuttuja, lähinnä suomen-, englanninkielisiä lauluja. Välillä haastamme myös itseämme soittamalla melodioita ja opettamalla uusia sointuja ja komppeja. Ryhmässä rentous, välitön tunnelma ja yhteisöllisyys ovat tärkeitä asioita. Olet aina tervetullut mukaan! Kirjastolla on myös ukuleleja joita voit lainata tunnin ajaksi.
