Tule harjoittelemaan suomea mukavassa seurassa! Kielikahvilamme on tarkoitettu kaikille, jotka haluavat oppia tai ylläpitää suomen kielen taitoaan. Myös sinä suomea äidinkielenäsi puhuva olet tervetullut keskustelupiiriin!

Kokoonnumme sunnuntaisin 14.1. alkaen kirjaston kokoushuone Kanervassa pohjakerroksessa klo 15–16.30.

The students identified social issues and experimented with typography and image to communicate these and explored environmental interventions for messaging opportunities. The concepts are presented as videos.

Pasilan kirjaston lastenosasto muuntautuu jättimäiseksi lautapeliksi, kun Skidipeli valloittaa kirjaston! Peli on pelattavissa 1.-24.2.

Stadin kaduille sijoittuvassa pelissä pelaajat itse seikkailevat pelinappuloina Helsingistä tuttujen maisemien ja hahmojen keskellä. Matkan varrella voi kurkistaa lisättyyn todellisuuteen ja ratkoa hauskoja monilukutaitoihin liittyviä tehtäviä, joissa pysähdytään kuvien, viestien, mainosten, äänten ja runojen tulkinnan äärelle. Pelin päätteeksi kirjakioskista löytyvät päräyttävimmät Helsinki-aiheiset lastenkirjat. Peliin voi tutustua lisää katsomalla trailerin Helsinki-kanavalta. Peli on suomenkielinen.

Skidipelin ensiesittely oli Habi Kids –lastenalueella Habitaressa (2019) Skidit-kollektiivin ja Helsingin kaupunginmuseon yhteistyönä. Monilukutaitoja tukeva pedagoginen sisältö peliin luotiin AVI:n Lukutaitoseikkailu Stadissa -hankkeessa Helsingin kaupunginkirjaston, Skidit-kollektiivin ja Mediametkan yhteistyönä. Lisätyn todellisuuden toteutus on flyAR-studion käsialaa. Hankkeessa toteutettiin pelikiertue Helsingin kirjastoissa ja kulttuuritaloissa vuosina 22-23, ja pelit jatkuvat kirjastoissa myös keväällä 2024: Pasilan kirjasto 1.-24.2.2024, Itäkeskuksen kirjasto 13.-28.4.2024.

Each month participants will read a book, watch a film, or listen to an album related to a theme that the group decides on.

During the gathering we'll have coffee, share what we've read, watched or listened to, and see where the conversation takes us.

Time: 10:30-12:00

The topic for the February 24th meeting is \"Food!\". We'll share our experiences of food in books and films, as well as in real life. To prepare you can read a book or watch a film/program related to food, cooking, eating, etc.

Munkan kirjastossa virittäydytään taas tarinoiden taajudelle, kun satutuokio pyörähtää käyntiin tuttuun tapaan lauantaina klo 11:00. Satutuokio on suunnattu erityisesti 3 - 6-vuotiaille, mutta kaikki sadunnälkäiset ovat tottakai tervetulleita kuuntelemaan!

Elektroniikkajäte on maailman nopeimmin kasvava jätevirta. Lisääntyvä elektronisten laitteiden käyttö ja niistä syntyvä elektroniikkajäte aiheuttaa maailmanlaajuisesti mittavia ympäristö-ja terveyshaittoja. E-waste -teos käsittelee kulttuurimme suhdetta elektroniikkaan ja elektroniikkajätteeseen. Miksi elektroniikkajäte jää Suomessa helposti kaapin pohjalle eikä tule kierrätetyksi?

Teos on osa Sirja Puurtisen taiteen maisterin opinnäytettä Aalto-yliopistoon.

Digitalkkarilta voi pyytää asiantuntevaa ja maksutonta apua mm. läppärin, tabletin tai älypuhelimen käyttöön.

Varaa henkilökohtainen opastusaika seuraavalle päivälle tai myöhemmäksi. Varauksen voit tehdä kirjaston tiskiltä tai soittamalla numeroon 09 3108 5042. Voit tuoda opastukseen oman laittteesi. Varmista, että muistat tarpeelliset tunnukset ja salasanat, joilla pääset kirjautumaan palveluun tai sivustolle, jossa kaipaat apua.

Digitalkkarilta, kuten muultakin kirjaston henkilökunnalta, voi toki kysyä digiapua muulloinkin, kun hänet kirjastossa sattuu näkemään.

Digitalkkari on alan opiskelija, joka suorittaa kirjastossa opintoihinsa liittyvää harjoittelujaksoa.

Tervetuloa viettämään perjantaita yhteisen elokuvahetken merkeissä! Sellon kirjaston Jaminurkassa järjestetään joka perjantai klo 18:00 avoin elokuvanäytös lapsille, perheille ja lapsenmielisille. Elokuvat valitaan yhdessä äänestämällä lasten toiveista kirjastossa.

Elokuvat ovat kaikki ikäsuositukseltaan S tai K7. Usein lapset valitsevat K7 elokuvan. Esityskielenä on suomi. Tekstitys valitaan lasten toiveiden mukaan.
