Ylen musiikkitoimittaja Tero Heinänen esittelee kirjaansa Oi niitä aikoja! Unohtumattomien venäläis-ja neuvostolaulujen tarina.

Kirja kertaa venäläisen ja neuvostoliittolaisen populaarimusiikin ja musiikkikulttuurin vaiheita 1800-luvun lopulta 2000-luvun alkuun. Moskovan valot, Uralin pihlaja, Rakastan elämää, Tumma yö, Oi niitä aikoja.... lauluja, joita on vuosikymmenet kuunneltu, tunnelmaa nostaen, juurikaan pohtimatta, mistä ne tulevat.

Miten unohtumattomat laulut ovat syntyneet, millaisia tarinoita niihin liittyy? Miten ne heijastelivat Venäjän ja Neuvostoliiton kulloisiakin oloja?

Kyseessä on ensimmäinen laaja suomenkielinen esittely venäläis-neuvostoliittolaisesta populaarista musiikkikulttuurista: tsaarinaikaisten romanssien hurma, uuden ajan agitprop, iloiset NEP-iskelmät, jazzia ja tangoa Isä Aurinkoisen varjossa, sota-ajan laulujen ja suojasään chansonien kautta Alla Pugatshovaan ja Vladimir Vysotskiin sekä viimein perestroikan esiin nostamaan neuvostorockiin. Unohtamatta venäläistä musiikkia Suomessa.
