Kutsumme espoolaisia, etenkin maahanmuuttajataustaisia espoolaisia, osallistumaan näihin työpajoihin, jotka toteutetaan & Espoon teatterilla ja Tapiolan kirjastolla, sekä ulkotiloissa.
“My Story (also) Lives Here” on taidetyöpajojen sarja, jonka kokoontumisissa käsitellään jälkien jättämistä, muistoja ja kuulumista. Taidetyöpajojen lopputuloksena syntyy itse tehtyjä Muistomonumentteja – julkisesti jaettuja muistijälkiä ja tarinan sirpaleita, joiden avulla osallistujat ottavat julkista tilaa takaisin käyttöönsä omassa naapurustossaan. Aiempaa kokemusta taiteesta ei tarvita. Työpajat sopivat koko perheelle, myös lapsille (5-vuotiaista alkaen). Lapset osallistuvat aina oman aikuisen kanssa.

Aikataulu:
Työpajat jakaantuvat Tapiolan kirjaston ja Espoon teatterin kesken. On suositeltavaa osallistua kaikkiin työpajoihin.
Aika: klo 12.00–14.00
Lähes neljännes espoolaisista puhuu äidinkielenään jotain muuta kuin suomea, ruotsia tai saamea. Naapurustomme on siis hyvin monikulttuurinen. Tästä syntyi idea & Espoon teatterin &Naapurusto-hankkeelle, jonka lähtökohta on teatterin lupaus olla eri taustaisten ihmisten kohtaamispaikka. Projektia rahoittaa Suomenkulttuurirahasto ja Länsi-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue.

\"My Story (also) Lives Here\" is a series of creative workshops about belonging, memories, and leaving traces. Espoo-based residents with multicultural backgroundsare invited to participate in these workshops that will take place both at & Espoo theatre and Tapiola library, and outdoors.
The project may help participants reconnect with their personal histories attached to places from their present in Espoo as well as their past elsewhere and maybemake new friends. The outcome of the project will be self-made Memory Monuments - publicly shared memory traces and fragments of stories as a way of reclaiming public spaces within the neighbourhood.

To whom: Espoo-based residents with immigrant or multicultural backgrounds. The workshops are suitable for families with kids (age 5 and older). Children take part with their adult. You don't need any previous experience in the arts to participate.
