Tapahtumassa tuoreet kaupunkilaiset pääsevät tutustumaan oman asuinalueensa palveluihin, harrastuksiin ja vapaa-ajan tarjontaan.

Welcome Day tarjoaa hyödyllisen tiedon lisäksi hauskaa, inspiroivaa ja yhteisöllistä ohjelmaa kaikenikäisille. Ohjelma huipentuu Ombre Zion & The Riddiments -yhtyeen lämminhenkiseen konserttiin.

Welcome Dayssa puhumme englantia, minkä lisäksi tarjoamme tulkkausta tarpeen mukaan. Tapahtuma on maksuton, mutta vaatii ennakkoilmoittautumisen.

Ombre Zion & The Riddiments

Ombre Zion & The Riddiments upottaa sinut reggae new rootsin, afrobeatin, afro fusionin, popin, soulin ja rockin täytteiseen ympäristöön unohtamatta perinteistä afrikkalaista musiikkia. Huolella hiottu yhdistelmä kuljettaa sinut kauniiden melodioiden läpi.

Esityksessä on englanniksi, ranskaksi ja wolofiksi (Zionin äidinkieli) laulettuja kappaleita. Ilmapiiri on lämmin ja kotoisa.

Under evenemanget får de nya stadsborna möjlighet att bekanta sig med tjänster, hobbyer och fritidsaktiviteter inom det egna bostadsområdet.

Welcome Day erbjuder förutom nyttig information även ett roligt, inspirerande och gemenskapligt program för personer i alla åldrar. Programmet kulminerar i en fartfylld konsert med Ombre Zion & The Riddiments.

På Welcome Day talar vi engelska, och dessutom erbjuder vi tolkning enligt behov. Evenemanget är avgiftsfritt men förutsätter förhandsanmälan.

Cultural Centre Stoa welcomes the recently arrived international residents to Helsinki!

In this event new residents will get to know the services, hobbies and other leisure time activities available to them in their neighborhoods.

In addition to providing useful information, the Welcome Day program includes fun, inspiring and communal activities for people of all ages. The program culminates in a warm-hearted concert by Ombre Zion & The Riddiments.

We speak English at Welcome Day. Additionally, interpreters will be present at the event. The event is free to attend, but sign-ups are required.

The program for Welcome Day Stoa

16.00: The services of the City of Helsinki, local art schools and NGOs present their activities in the lobby of Stoa. This part of the program will end at 18.45.

18.30: The host of the evening, Hamdi Mohamed Hagi Ali, will share his experiences on living/working in Helsinki. (Stoa Theatre Hall)

18.40–19.30: Ombre Zion & The Riddiments will perform (Stoa Theatre Hall)
Ombre Zion & The Riddiments will immerse you in a reggae new roots, afrobeats, Afro fusion, pop, soul, and rock atmosphere, without forgetting a touch of traditional African music. A well-crafted fusion that transports you through beautiful melodies.
Songs in English, French, and Wolof (his native language) will be performed. All in a welcoming family atmosphere.
