Musiikista vastaavat <b>Emeka Ogboh</b> ja <b>DJ Sophia Wekesa</b>.</p><p>Lagosissa danfot ovat vuosikymmenten ajan toimineet paitsi kulkuvälineinä myös sosiaalisen elämän näyttämöinä. Stoassa bussin ympärille rakentuva tapahtuma kutsuu viipymään, kohtaamaan ja jakamaan tarinoita. Osana Ogbohin teosta kerätään afropohjoismaisia kokemuksia ja näkökulmia, jotka käsittelevät muun muassa liikkuvuutta, kotia, kuulumisen tunnetta ja yhteisöjä.</p><p>Danfo-bussin matka on osa Ogbohin uutta <i>Transmissions</i>-installaatiota, joka nähdään syksyllä Amos Rexin näyttelyssä <i>The Other Side of the Mountain</i>. Näyttely on osa laajempaa Southnord Artfest 2026 -kokonaisuutta, joka levittäytyy eri puolille Helsinkiä lokakuusta alkaen. Music will be provided by <b>Emeka Ogboh</b> and <b>DJ Sophia Wekesa</b>.</p><p>In Lagos, danfos have served for decades not only as a means of transportation but also as stages for social life and everyday encounters. At Stoa, the bus becomes a gathering place, inviting people to spend time together, connect, and share stories. As part of Ogboh’s project, Afro-Nordic experiences and perspectives will be collected, exploring themes of mobility, home, belonging, and community.</p><p>The danfo bus journey forms part of Ogboh’s new installation <i>Transmissions</i>, which will be presented this autumn in the Amos Rex exhibition <i>The Other Side of the Mountain</i>. The exhibition is part of the wider Southnord Artfest 2026 programme, which will unfold across Helsinki from October onwards.
