"fi": "<p>Teoksessaan Cherish Menzo ja hänen lavakumppaninsa Camilo Mejía Cortés etsivät tapoja irrottaa kehonsa tavasta, joilla ne nähdään ja koetaan päivittäistodellisuudessa.</p><p>He luovat katseensa ylös taivaalle, pimeään aineeseen ja mustiin aukkoihin, jotka kohtaavat ja törmäävät toisiinsa synnyttäen uuden (afro)futuristisen ja arvoituksellisen ruumiin. <s>DARK</s>MATTER haluaa päästä eroon ennakkoluuloisista tavoista katsoa kehoja ja tarinoita, joita omistamme niille. Kuten edellisessä projektissaan JEZEBEL, joka esitettiin Liikkeellä marraskuussa -festivaalin ohjelmistossa vuonna 2022, Menzo venyttää liikekieltään lisäämällä siihen hiphop -maailmasta ammentavan Chopped and Screwed -remixtekniikan, jossa musiikin tempoa on hidastettu jyrkästi.</p><p>Teos on osa Liikkeellä marraskuussa -festivaalia 2.–12.11.2023. "en": "<p>Cherish Menzo and her onstage partner Camilo Mejía Cortés look for ways to detach their bodies from the way they are perceived and the daily reality in which they move.</p><p>Among other things, they look up to the sky, at dark matter and at black holes that meet and collide to give birth to a new, (afro) futuristic and enigmatic body. <s>DARK</s>MATTER wants to get rid of the biased way of looking at one’s body, at that of the other, and at the stories we attribute to them. Just as in her previous project JEZEBEL, presented in Moving in November 2022, Menzo stretches her movement language further by applying the Chopped and Screwed method to her movement language – a remix technique from the hip hop world, where the tempo of the music is turned down.</p><p>The performance is part of Moving in November festival 2.-12.11.2023.
