Tule heittämään hyvästit pidetylle ja arvostetulle kapellimestarillemme Savoy-teatteriin!</p><p>Partyka tuo UMOn vieraaksi pitkäaikaisen ystävänsä, itävaltalaisen trumpetistin <b>Thomas Ganschin</b>. Miesten ystävyys on alkanut ”puoli ikuisuutta” sitten yhteisissä projekteissa Vienna Art Orchestrassa ja Thomas Ganschin kulttimainetta nauttivassa Gansch & Roses -yhtyeessä. Gansch on ollut vakituinen vieras Partykan johtamissa orkestereissa, kuten SWR Big Bandissa, Ed Partyka Jazz Orchestrassa sekä Zurich Jazz Orchestrassa, jonka kanssa mies on levyttänyt yhteisen, keväällä 2025 julkaistavan albumin.</p><p>Sekä soolourastaan että menestyksekkään <b>Mnozil Brassin </b> riveistä tutun trumpettitaiturin kanssa soitetaan ohjelmisto, jossa Ganschin alkuperäiset sävellykset kuullaan Partykan sovittamina big band -versioina. Jazz törmää tässä konsertissa eurooppalaisen klassisen musiikin sävyihin, ja onpa mukana kaikuja jopa alppimusiikista.</p><p>– Thomas Gansch on poikkeuksellinen muusikko. Hänen syvällinen tietämyksensä musiikista mahdollistaa saumattoman liikkumisen genrestä ja tyylistä toiseen. Yleisöt ympäri maailmaa rakastavat hänen huumoriaan ja persoonaansa. "en": "<p>Ed Partyka’s period as the artistic director and chief conductor of the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra started in 2019 and ends with this concert. Come to the Savoy Theatre and say goodbye to our well-liked and much appreciated conductor!</p><p>Partyka brings with him his old friend, the Austrian trumpet player <b>Thomas Gansch</b>, to perform with the UMO. Their friendship began “half an eternity” ago in projects with the Vienna Art Orchestra and Thomas Gansch’s legendary cult band Gansch & Roses. Gansch has been a regular guest in orchestras conducted by Partyka, like the SWR Big Band, the Ed Partyka Jazz Orchestra as well as the Zurich Jazz Orchestra, with which he has recorded an album to be released in the spring of 2025.</p><p>The virtuoso trumpeter is known for his solo career as well as for a member of the successful ensemble Mnozil Brass. This concert features Gansch’s original compositions in big band arrangements by Partyka, creating a mash-up of jazz, European classical music and even reminiscences of the music of the Alps.</p><p>– Thomas Gansch s is an extraordinary musician, with a depth of knowledge which allows him to move seamlessly between genres and styles as well as a wicked sense of humour that gives his music a unique personality that is loved by audiences around the world.
